Few years ago Detroit DoT had 445 buses. Needed minimum of 249 to cover schedules then in effect. Only 115 buses were functioning. They had contracted out bus maintenance.

The only way Detroit can prosper again is convenient transit service, 2 way service for DPM and Qline serving midtown area. Transit brings economic cities.

Agreed! They need to expand their streetcar service or start a new light rail system! And some expansion for the DPM would definitely be appreciated.

Those Xcelsiors look slick in that green and white paint scheme. But man I'm guessing you filmed this earlier in the day cause Detroit isn't that empty normally. Also the fact every major bus system in the Midwest has articulated buses and here in Milwaukee we dont makes me frustrated beyond belief 😤 😒. Heck even Madison is getting artics for their BRT route in a few years is crazy... anyway nice video man
