Fun facts: Owen Wilson, who played Jedediah was supposed to be a cameo, which is why he's uncredited, but his character tested so well with the audience, so they decided to expanded the role into bigger part. This was also Rami Malek's first film debut. And he is an Egyptian. One of the trainers spent several weeks training Crystal the Monkey, who perform as Dexter to slap and bite Ben Stiller in the movie. When Jedediah and Octavius are draining air out of the van tire towards the end, Jedediah says "I ain't quittin' you" in his usual country accent, this is a reference from Brokeback Mountain. Steve Coogan has played a miniature figurine for the second time where he did from The Indian in the Cupboard. More importantly, the woman in the employment office scene is ACTUALLY Ben Stiller's real-life late mother.

By the way, the short old guy full of salt and vinegar is Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney. He has a filmography as long as my arm, but the role I know him best is from the stop-motion Christmas Specials done by Rankin-Bass in the 1960s-1980s. In most of the productions, including "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town", "Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July", "Rudolph's Shiny New Year", "The Year Without a Santa Claus", etc., Mickey Rooney serves as the voice of Santa Claus. And it's thanks to these specials that it's his voice that I associate with Santa Claus.

5:01 when this was made Bill Cobbs was 72, Mickey Rooney was 86 Dick Van Dyke was 81 and will be 100 next year. You should see him in “Mary Poppins Returns” and what he did at age 93. Out of the three only Dick Van Dyke is still around. Rooney passed away after making the second movie and Bill Cobbs passed away this past summer. You should also check out some of Mickey Rooney’s older movies. All three of them were great actors but I always loved his voice. He was in the 1977 “Pete’s Dragon”, he voiced Santa Claus in the Rankin Bass Christmas movies like the 1970 “Santa Claus is coming to town”, 1974 “Year Without a Santa Claus”, 1979 “Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July” and the 2008 “Miser Brothers Christmas”, the 1981 Disney “Fox & The Hound” and the 1985 “Care Bears movie”. He also did a lot of old westerns. 21:54 I’d love to have that kind of energy again. He must have had a catnap at some point. 24:53 they copied the keys to his apartment so they could frame him for stealing from the museum. 33:12 Dick Van Dyke was probably doing some of the running. He seems to still have the energy to do things. 39:31 from all the research he did.

This is such an amazing film series filled with an amazing story, stunning visual effects, and a talented cast. I actually was in a musical called Night At The Wax Museum which had a similar plot of the figures being brought to life via Cleopatra’s bracelet. I was Pancho Villa, one of the outlaw figures that came life. I had a song that I got to sing and had to do it in Spanish which was really fun and one of the best memories of my life. #BestHistoryMovie #RIPRobinWillams #RIPMickeyRooney

This movie was my jam as a kid! As cheesy as the effects and plots were, I found Night at the Museum to be quite magical and the casting is pretty remarkable, especially Robin Williams as Theodore Roosevelt. We also always go to that actual museum from time to time thanks to this movie.
@1993Warbirds
@1993Warbirds 3 күн бұрын
The fact that the effects are cheesy is part of what sold it. It adds that slight bit of whimsy. The problem that so many studios have faced in the last 10 years or so is that they've asked CGI to do too much. Both Tim and Mal have a point when they said that there are just so many actors on screen, especially during Larry's first night where it's pure chaos. CGI just can't fill a room like that as authentically.
@liljrice4867

1. That one song you wanting to know the title of was called Weapon Of Choice by Fatboy Slim. 2. The lion that tried to kill Larry, if you really noticed, looked a hell of a lot like Aslan. 3. Dick Van Dyke was also in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Lead role. When I realized Dick was in this movie, I thought he was just as young as he was back in the 60’s, not realizing though that he was just an old guy. Also, Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang were both in the 60’s just like the Dick Van Dyke Show was. 4. That was the very first film I ever saw Rami Malek in. The second was Twilight 5: Breaking Dawn. Then, there was Bohemian Rhapsody, No Time To Die, and last but not least, Oppenheimer. 5. There Tim and Mal go making fun of Atilla for crying. 6. That monkey was also in one of the Hangover movies.

A: If you’re wondering what the remainder of the instructions said, the full document got released on the internet at around the time the 3rd movie was released to theaters. B: For the full story of how the Teddy Bear came to be invented, Teddy Roosevelt had been on a hunting trip that was proving unsuccessful, which was proving frustrating to Roosevelt. His hunting companions, wishing to try to get him a guaranteed trophy for the trip, found a black bear and managed to somehow get it tied to a tree before then showing it to him, believing he’d take the clear and easy opportunity to shoot it. But instead, Roosevelt shook his head, looked to his companions, and said ‘Let it go. I won’t shoot a bound animal’. And so the bear was released, and the teddy bear was invented in honor of the incident.
