Yoriichi Type Zero is destroyed at the end of Tanjiro's training, but a sword from over 300 years ago appears from inside. Kotetsu gives Tanjiro the sword, however it is badly rusted. Genya is a pretty underrated character imo he may not be a traditional demon slayer in a sense but he does help the cast defeat some of the most powerful upper moons

Interesting fact: genya isn’t the first character to use a gun as a way to kill demons, but in fact a demon from the past when the first days of rengoku before becoming the new flame hashira, defeated a powerful lower moon 2 demon named hairo uses guns and ammunitions to kill humans. The gun that genya uses is a western style double barrel shotgun which isn’t new since the first gun appeared in japan during the 13th century when the mongol invasion occurred but since this is during the taisho era between 1912 to 1926, guns were around in that time since this was around the time when world war 1 occurred but however, guns aren’t as used as much to kill demons due to not being as reliable as expected which is different from using a katana which would give off a fast final blow. Guns can kill lower average demons but not against upper moons. It can stunned them for a while but can recover faster Which is a big disadvantage in my opinion

Ok so here cause you guys seem confused on the upper ranks ranking. Upper 1: Kokushibo (Six eyed swordsman) Upper 2: Douma (The one whos more chill and with red robes and rainbow eyes) Upper 3: Akaza (the demon from the movie/killed rengoku) Upper 4: Hantengu (The demon that when cit splits up, also a coward before he splits) Upper 5: Gyokko (The weird looking on in the pot) Upper 6: Gyutaro/Daki (The main antagonists of the last season)

Actually hantengu was always upper 4, you guys mistook him for gyokko who is the upper 5, since both are in this season, also hantengu "clones" are supose to be emotions: karaku is the one with wind power with that leaf and green eyes, he is pleasure, urogi is the one with yellow eyes and sonic scream and wings, he is joy, aizetsu is the one with the polearm and blue eyes, he is sadness and sekido is anger, the one with lightning power and red eyes

Weve seen in episode 1, the earrings are from the slayer 300 years ago who saved the baby of tanjiros ancestors. And they in return saved his culture so to speak by passing it down their generations as hino kami kagura aka dance of fire god. As rengokus dad said in season 2 tanjiro should be from the sun breathing bloodline but in same season tanjiro said he was never from sun breathing bloodline and his mark is an accident and not a bloodline gift
