One of the most hilarious movies I've ever seen. When I first saw this in theatres, I left the room for five minutes because I couldn't stop laughing. I recommend you react to Blades of Glory (has Will Ferrell plus Jon Heder from Napoleon Dynamite), which is also quite underrated.

This is one of the movies my dad has ever introduced me. Will Ferrell is still so funny to me,and honestly he could work well with any other comedians. A 39 (yes,one of the two is actually 39) and 40 years old becoming close step brothers,with the mind of a child. This proves just how much adults can still have their inner child in them. I also love the fact they both learn to cooperate life themselves after the parents decided to make them live on their own. With their lesson learned,they were able to reunite with their parents. Love it! But rewatching it now makes me cry nowadays,because many people do have to live like this in real life,and no matter the family,divorced or blended,it life is hard. They may not like each other's new family member at first,but they soon get used to it,and that's what it shows with Brennan and Dale. The song they're singing at the end there is actually a real song called Por Ti Volaré,which is Italian for With You I Shall Depart. It was performed by Andrea Bocelli in 1995. A Second part was released a year later in 1996 titled Time To Say Goodbye,which was partly in English. Both Will Ferrell and John C.Reilly also did Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby together two years before Step Brothers,which also had the same producing and writing team. As the more the movie goes,you can clearly see how much reality is,and that's what hits me. There was a plan for a sequel and that one of the brothers would be married and has a kid,but the sequel was left undecided. The song made for the movie,Boats 'N' Hoes,which was produced for the step brothers' video,contributed into the movie's success.

My brother was a sleepwalker and his repetitive behaviours were, 1, he would open every tin and jar in the kitchen and drink the liquid. 2, he would strip completely naked and march up and down the hallway singing 'walk this way' 3, he would try to put the cat in the gas meter cupboard, at was usually at this point he would wake up because the cat was scratching him. It's odd, I'm in my 40s and always thought people were weird who were into dino nuggets. I use to think "You gotta be immature to like such stuff, its so dumb!" Then last year when short on cash for chicken strips, I bought a bag of some store brand dino nuggets. They were actually really good. I've become the very thing I mocked. lol. I mean obviously I prefer something that didn't start out as pink slime of course, but still, they are good.
