It wasn't a matter of not thinking she was beautiful, she does many incredible photo shoots. She was half-expecting to be eliminated, and can't be a weepy mess with running makeup when she takes off her mask, everyone has to look their best. Still afterwards she looked so disappointed after she took her mask off.

She was crying the first time because she was exhausted AND the studio audience voted her out of the show and tried to send her home. The judges overrode the audience vote and saved her for another performance. At least that's what the show producers told everyone. Personally, I don't believe the audience voted to send her home. I think it was scripted from the beginning. But, I'm a fan. She was crying the second time because she knew the judges were going to make her take off the mask and send her off the show because they had recognized her voice. When she said, "They've stopped hiding me. I've stopped hiding", it was because she had orders to start singing in her natural voice for the sixth performance, California Dreaming. She knew they weren't going to let her stay and compete for the win in the final performance.

I don't know, I have visited the comment section on the Mask VK site and Diana unfortunately gets a lot of hate there, it's a shame. They all have their favorites that were voted off before Diana.

What Diana was saying at the end was that she was waiting for them to come apply Stage/TV makeup since she will be unmasked. If they weren't going to unmask her she doesn't go through that routine so she was lamenting that they are only doing this because she will no longer be on the show. That's the way it is.

Well you can not really call this a competition... A competition of what? certainly not a vocal competition, Diana was by far the best vocalist there especially her last performances (after they stopped hiding her) were the best from the whole show. This is just a tv show that wanted numbers so after the sixth episode they made Diana sing with her natural voice so they gain audience and rise their viewing numbers, they got what they wanted and for the next 4 episodes everyone was watching this closely but also everyone knew who she was under the mask so this render her unable to go all the way to the end and that is why she was crying, you can feel how much this meant for her and how hard she worked for it. She got revealed at the episode 9 out of the total 13, the show lost all it's splendor after that. The greatest thing though was that Diana got to participate in the show that she was dreaming, she learned and experienced new things and we got to enjoy her great performances and we will listen and watch them again and again because seriously who will even remember who won this after some time goes by? Ну нельзя же назвать это соревнованием... Конкурс чего? конечно не вокальный конкурс, Диана была безусловно лучшей вокалисткой, особенно ее последние выступления (после того как ее перестали скрывать) были лучшими за все шоу. Это просто телешоу, которому нужны были цифры, поэтому после шестого эпизода они заставили Диану петь своим естественным голосом, чтобы привлечь аудиторию и увеличить число просмотров, они получили то, что хотели, и в течение следующих 4 эпизодов все внимательно следили за этим, но также все знали, кем она была под маской, так что это сделало ее неспособной пройти весь путь до конца, и именно поэтому она плакала, вы можете почувствовать, как много это для нее значило и как тяжело она для этого работала. Она раскрылась в 9 серии из 13, после чего сериал потерял все свое великолепие. Но самым замечательным было то, что Диана приняла участие в шоу, о котором мечтала, она узнала и испытала новые вещи, и мы получили удовольствие от ее великолепных выступлений, и мы будем слушать и смотреть их снова и снова, потому что серьезно, кто будет помнить, кто выиграл это показать через некоторое время.

Diana wanted to get on this show and become a participant, she succeeded, a dream came true. It's a pity that she didn't manage to reach the final - it was her dream, but still she did an excellent job and the tremendous experience that she received as a reward is priceless.

Hi Curtis - Diana's mask, in Russian is "Горностай" (Gornostai in our alphabet) - Ermine in English (Err-min). As for Diana crying, along with the disappointment of leaving the show, before the final, I think she was exhausted,. As well as the Mask, where she had to do rehearsals, record the tracks and perform in a very heavy and restricting costume, she was still studying at GITIS (Arts College), doing gigs, recording her own songs and shooting a video. She has also just finished a year long project dedicated to the work of Vladimir Vysotsky. Diana seems to have an extreme work ethic - I worry for her sometimes...
