Congratulations David and Mariel! I have 2 boys and it’s amazing. I can’t stand when people talk down on being a parent. My oldest is a week younger than Q and I have a 3 month old and it’s chill! There’s times that are hard but for the most part it’s so fun! I will say I did get postpartum depression with my first so now with my second I’m all about that cute baby shit with him because I realized how quickly they grow up so I just want to cherish every second of them now.

Congrats on becoming a dad David! Happy for you. But one thing that was said in this episode, is continuing to be friends with someone in your life, because you've been friends for years. We have to respect our peace. If this person isn't a good person, sometimes we need to let them go. A true friend won't make you question if they should be in your life. A true friend isn't competing with you in a way that they're ok as long as they don't feel you're doing better than them. Sometimes, you have to cut a mofo off! And that's family or friends.

Congrats to David! Regarding the Keto thing about why your blood work looks better: Based on the studies I've read, generally these studies are done with a group of obese subjects who then go on the diet and lose weight. Their lipid panels are taken before the diet starts, and then after the trial time of the diet (3 months, 6 months, a year depending on the study). After going on keto, all of their blood work looks way better than before. However, all subjects obviously lose a pretty hefty chunk of subcutaneous and visceral fat from their bodies doing this diet due to being in a calorie deficit. Losing subcutaneous and visceral fat from ANY diet will make your blood work look better. In my mind, we have yet to see the effectiveness of the keto diet on lipid panel numbers vs other diets because all long-term studies I read were done on obese patients who lost significant body fat. So obviously their blood work will look better regardless of diet as long as they're losing body fat. Disclaimer though, I have not read every study out there and my information is all from about a year ago when I read these studies. Cheers!
