Great interview! So much good advice in here. I ordered the unstoppable artist bundle around Black Friday last year and it’s changed my life even though I’m not at the point to start doing festivals yet. In high school I couldn't do or touch enough art of any kind, oils, acrylics, crafts, stained glass, chalk/charcoal, it didn't matter. 40 years later I still have that yearning to create but never got to pursue my passion (or I should say never had the courage or mind set) so I've done so many other things and worked my way AROUND the target. Now I'm close to retirement and art is in my mind every day. One thing I've noticed is there are tons of crafty people and although I love doing that too, it's doesn't challenge me to be better, crafting just gives me more ideas. I still want to be a real artist with my own style and gifts. Great videos!

I've been painting for 24 years and got my start with galleries. I made a lot of money but I have to tell you during the 2008 financial crisis it was rough. Even some of the top art galleries went out of business. I lost my house and at least seven galleries that represented my work closed. I had to start over and it wasn't easy. I re-invented my work and got some new art galleries on my own. Even the rich will hold off spending money in a recession.

I actually found the opposite in 2008... It was actually my best year at that time. But... yes... the economy definitely impacts sales when what you are selling is a luxury item.

You can take advantage of the opportunities presented by the internet and social media... or you might just have to travel.

Because the technology is constantly improving I don’t feel comfortable making a recommendation. I would go to a reputable camera and photo gear store and speak with the staff. Tell them what you want the camera to do and what your budget is and they can give you the best advice about what’s available right now. In my Unstoppable Artist Program I do have a course on editing digital photos for artists where I show how we shoot and edit our photos for prints… and how you can get great photos suitable for prints from an iPhone. @@leonienolan511 good question… in 2019 I had some serious health issues and almost died… that led to an epiphany… rather than just cranking out more paintings and making lots more money…I realized I wanted to help artists that shared the same dream that I had… Since 2020 I have been focused on just that by growing my online art academy… that has required a full time effort over the past 5 years to make that a successful business. It is now at the point where I will be able to get back in the studio a few days a week… and you will see more new paintings going forward😊👍
