As a glider pilot, the sky looks amazing but watching you plan your route brings home how difficult it can be when you get a bit of spreadout and don’t have the glide angle to bore through it. I did a lot of flying from Talgarth as a junior and the whole Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains area is an amazing playground. I wish I could land and take off again like that on the side of a mountain, though. Love you vids, keep ‘em coming!

Cheers Snowy, Lisa and I bumped into Rich Harding the other day and we were reminiscing about having a beer with you at the Bridge Inn in Abergavenny when our kids were young with Emily giving you some good banter if I remember correctly 😀

Nice one Tim. I learn a lot about mapping therms from your vids. I’m less prone to turn early now but wait until I get to far side and then turn 👍

Hey Warwick, I do sometimes think I turn marginally too late - guess my reactions aren't what they used to be 😂

3:52 you can hear a motorbike rev-ing! Is this a prime example of thermals being able to carry smell & sounds up vertically? Or is it just normal to hear sounds from ground at that sorta height? Nice video by the way Tim, really enjoy watching your videos :-) much love from NZ

Definitely smells, and sometimes straw etc, but I doubt thermals make much difference regarding sound - after all the speed of sound at sea level is approx 330m/s so an extra 1-2 m/s isn't going to make a noticeable difference... Glad you you're enjoying the vids!!
