@@ngltgoatcrew9735 possibly. I have a cheap fifine mic that was $50 but it has the gain and mute button/headphone jack. Make sure you go to the audio and music setting and make sure headphone mic is on, as I’ve heard some people say it’s required.

Worked fine for me. Xbox stereo adapter only if your controller is uncabled. Mine always plugged as i play with K&M. I use a gaming headset HyperX with mic turned off, works! Be sure to plug the mic usb plug not in the console or you might experience weird sound. 😊

So I use the twitch app on the Xbox to stream. The app allows you to include the party chat audio if everybody clicks to allow it to record their voice. However, when I mute my headset, my viewers and stream can no longer hear me. Mic monitoring has nothing to do with how loud u sound to other people all it does it changes if you can hear yourself when you speak, and also a side note to the creator the rode nt usb does not allow you to control how loud ur microphone is, it only allows you to change how loud the audio monitoring is for the microphone 🎤

The k678 should work. Xbox is very tricky. Is it an official stereo adapter? Try again and if not try to just use the splitter. Some people are claiming they are not using the adapter.

The Turtle Beach Adapter on a Fifine is CHALKED fam. I’ve tried numerous times on plenty of Fifine models like the k668, k670, & k678 I even tried a T series one. NOTHING lol. I think it’s because it’s more of a budget generic brand.

My mic is a Fifine k678 and the example is a Rode NT USB You cannot just plug external usb mics into an xbox. Microsoft does not allow that to ensure you buy their products. Therefore a splitter is needed to redirect mic and headphone usage.

Is this only viable for party chat or does it work in general game chat as well? For example, when I join a Fortnite Lobby with friends who are on PS, I will still be able to talk to them without being in an Xbox party.

I only tried party chat. Xbox is already difficult as it is for USB mics. I wouldn’t recommend trying game chat with this many adaptations. if you do try it lmk & I can try and look into it

What if I don't want to use the headphones and just want the mic? I use a kinetic at the moment due to sensitive hearing. But I won't be able to use that on the new Xbox series S as the kinetic will not work. I just want a mic I can use like the kinetic and still use the TV at my game audio. Can you help and also recommend a cheaper mic withing the Price rand of £30-40
