Destiny 2 had a really horrible cheating problem due to cheaters offering carry services for Trials. Unlimited supers, unlimited heavy and even self rez. Bungie finally put trials behind a pay wall and added Battle Eye. Both have significantly cut down on cheaters.

To answer your question about destiny 2, yes, you'd be surprised. I dunno if the anticheat is currently working, but before it got implemented last year, 2 hackers per PvP game was pretty common. I once had 7 back to back lobbies of different players with hard aimbots.....
