"I'm so excited to see Disneyland!" says Pepe, the youngest child in his family. "No I'm more excited!" says Pepe's older sister. The two siblings gets in a fight on who's more excited to see Disneyland. "Kids fight for the dumbest reasons don't you think, honey?" says Pepe's mom, "You're right, but it's getting a little noisy, it's distracting me from the road." says Pepe's dad. While the two siblings fight, their mom tries to calm them down. "You two, calm down! You're distracting Dad from driving!" says Pepe's mom, but the two siblings keep on fighting. "Just leave them be, they'll shut up sooner or later." says Pepe's dad. Pepe's mom let them be but they never stopped, Pepe started to get physical and led to Pepe's sister crying. Their parents get annoyed and they started shouting, suddenly the brakes jammed. They were heading to an intersection and coudln't stop, the handbrake didn't work either. "THE BRAKES JAMMED, AND THE HANDBRAKE'S JAMMED TOO!" says Pepe's dad. Their were so much happening that their dad started going crazy and crashing to a car in the intersection. "What, happened...?" Pepe says in his thoughts, Pepe slowly opens his eyes and sees a gruesome scene. Blood was everywhere, flashing lights and sirens coming towards Pepe. Every blink Pepe makes, the closer the lights were, Pepe slowly looks around laying on the ground, he sees his family, dead. Pepe suddenly feels pain from his right thigh, a fragment of glass stuck in his right thigh. "Mom? It hurts, it hurts" Pepe's vision get blurrier and darker, and slowly closes his eyes. "MOM!" Pepe wakes up breathing heavily with sweat covering his body. Pepe takes deep breathes and calms down, Pepe stands up from his bed. He looks at the time, "3:42 A.M" "It's late, and that dream felt real, it felt like I was in a simulation. Well, that was all in the past now, better to forget about it." Pepe says in his thoughts, he goes in the kitchen to drink some water. Pepe looks at his dog in his living room, sleeping "Luckily I had you all this time supporting me Maya" says Pepe in his thoughts. Pepe goes on his room and opens his computer, while he waits for his pc to boot up, he thoughts to himself "What should I do this time, I guess I'd make a xqc vid." Pepe then opens up Premiere and make a video about his life and about how xqc and his dog made him go through the hellish things about his life. "Hey xqc, I just wanna say, thank you. I know you don't know me but you've made my life better because of your streams. When I was 6 years old, I lost my family in a car crash. My grandparents adopted me a dog, I cried and sob day after day because I couldn't accept the fact that my family is gone. But my dog Maya, was there all the time, by my side when I was crying. It took me months to accept the death of my family, ever since my parents and sister died my grandparents took care of me. 5 years later they died, I cried like crazy too when they died, but Maya was there, all the time. After all that I decided to go to school with my aunt being my guardian. I was alone at school and coudln't really socialice, but whenever I go home my aunt beats me up to release her stress. I was like a boxing bag for her, it went through for 6 years until I decided to run away from home with my dog. I found a decent job and started working and rented a house and bought a pc. Then, I found you xqc, everyday I'd watched your streams, smile, laugh, and someitmes cry. You're my favorite streamer and got me through life, you made me forget all the things in the past and focus more in the future. Right now my dog is almost gonna die, the vet set they'd have to put her down. I don't know what to say or how to react. She's 11 years old, she's really special, she was like a god for me, always there when you needed her. But now that she's going to be put down, I don't know anymore. So thanks xqc for making my life a lot better, and hopefully I can get through when my dog dies." Pepe cries a bit and uploads the video he made on xqc's reddit. Pepe then turns off the pc and goes back to sleep. Pepe wakes up to see his post if it reached top post on xqc's reddit. But it didn't, it didn't have any attention. "Guess I pushed my luck a little but too far" says Pepe. The post Pepe uploaded didn't got any attention, but xqc saw it and decided to set up a stream just for Pepe. Pepe decided to make another post with his 3D skills, it reached top posts on xqc's reddit. So Pepe got excited and saw a notification for xqc going live, he watched the stream and saw his post. But xqc said it was stupid, Pepe got sad and got banned on xqc's chat. Little did Pepe know that it was all a set up by xqc, Pepe cried himself to sleep that even his favorite streamer, xqc turned back on him. The next day, xqc uploaded a video on youtube titled "For you Pepe", Pepe was amused and watched the video xqc uploaded. It was a video on xqc watching Pepe's reddit post and deciding to make a special video about Pepe. Hundreds of people on discord thanking Pepe and xqc giving Pepe thousands of dollars for Pepe. He was happier that he could ever be. He cried with his dog in his lap thanking people on what they did just for him. I got bored on the last paragraph so it looked rushed and lazy

It's amazing how much the video and its related sequel makes you reflect on twitch, both as a viewer, and streamers on the platform. We form parasocial relationships with these streamers, in leu of a time where everyone has to be indoors, and many find it hard to talk with others. Streamers themselves often abstract themselves away from the people actually watching their stream, which has become a big part of the medium. Making the character based on pepe was very much a symbolic choice.

Streamers just don't understand how much influence they have on some peoples life. Some people (especially men) have no friends, are lonely and to them, watching that one streamer is the only hing that matters to them. Chat is there only friend and without that community they would be totally alone. Banning someone like this is like taking away the only thing that matters to them in there life, the only thing that makes them happy and moderators need to understand this.
