You can get good like that too Tim, just go to the hyperbolic time chamber and grind it out. Experimenting in practice mode is how you're gonna learn your character so just put the time in and you'll get there! Also, complete the Invasion mode as a starting point before you start playing against people, this will introduce you to all the characters in the game and give you good start on learning how to counter them!

The easiest meta right now is to use Baraka with Cyrux cameo. you can put insane pressure with Baraka who has super easy combos and cyrax does a spinning attack that does huge chip damage and also extends combos

smoke is the first character i learned when the game launched, i chose the most broken character but hes super hard bc to be good you have to memorize the timing of his mystic vapor cancel which literally took me DAYS to learn how to time it right consistently

No where near top 5, play better players and you will understand how unsafe he is and the gaps that can be easily exposed the longer you play. On every single pro's tier list he has been mostly in the bottom half. Lucky if he's in A tier at most.

@@jyggalag9838 he isn’t unsafe you idiot i play legends, i’m literally THAT GUY, his forward 1, 2 is not only safe BUT ITS PLUS and anything that’s unsafe you can teleport cancel with, and do another safe combo string after it, do you know what frame traps are? that’s why lui kang was S tier in mk11, mid level smoke where you can’t mystic vapor cancel is not that good, smoke with mystic vapor cancel is top 5 if you played a good smoke you’d realize how many options you have right after that cancel

Some characters have longer strings and yes there are metas. Nitara, Kenshi, and Scorpion have some of the longest and most damaging combo strings in the game.

There are metas in mortal kombat, but jev isn't using the meta for raiden, meta for raiden to get 50% combos, is raiden jax, because you can have jax grab after the air lightning grab and extend the combo
