I love my nexus 220 and I love cleaning it. So I would never have the auto kit. I can understand people wanting them if they don’t like the cleaning part of the hobby. I think I have said it before but mine would never be that dirty lol

I think you're missing the point of having an auto clean kit. I love my nexus 220 and I love cleaning it but I also love going on holiday and having the auto kit means I don't have to rely on other people to clean it for me or not as is sometimes the case. I have a cctv camera in my filter house from which I can control my auto top up system. The auto clean kit is an absolute godsend

@@gwatsongw no not missing the point. I go away 4 times a year. I just don’t feed my fish 3 days before I go on holiday. I go on holiday knowing that my fish are safe in the pond and don’t have to worry that while the auto cleaner is cleaning the nexus I get a power cut while the waste valve is open and empties the pond. I am not saying they are not a good item I just don’t have the need for one

You can top up yourself but yes, it still sends water to waste
