I like macklemore a lot more and I've been into rap heavy since the days of the mighty Pac. They have equal skill levels (yes they do, if your his fan you are biased and won't want to admit it, but the fact is that they do, Kelly just uses more filler words so it sounds like he's doing more when he really isn't). The difference is macklemore is trying to be fun and whimsicle.I'm not a fan of either, but I can appreciate some humor put in to make up for lesser skill. MGKs issue is that he's trying to hard to run above his skill level so he's missing all of the solidity you develop when you learn the mid range techniques.

Now, I didnt say Eminem's wasn't good, I said MGKs was better IMO. If you really listen to the both of them, Eminem basically reiterates everything MGK said. It's like listening to the same ideas twice. For example: When MGK says Eminem blackballed him with Interscope. Eminem replied with "one call to interscope and you're Swayze. (ie: I have the power to blackball you). ..mYeah Em, we head that the first time..when MGK said it. The entire song is just Eminem repeating and confirming most of the shit MGK said. I'm not gonna post a bunch of examples as they would be pretty long for a KZbin comment. Look up some of Eminem's diss tracks from back in the day if you wanna hear him tear shit up: "Hail Mary", "The Warning", "Nail in the Coffin" + "Quitter", "The Sauce", "I Remember", "Bully", "My Name", "Go to Sleep", "Girls" & "Hailey's Revenge". That's a handful of the ones I can remember. Enjoy some good writing & Eminem not learning on everything the other person said in their disses.
