Tina Turner did the MOST IMPOSSIBLE DANCE duing the bridge of this song on a 1965 appearance on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. To this day I still can't figure out how she pulled it off (and in heels, no less!). I don't believe it can be successfully duplicated by anyone! If anyone has the clip I am talking about please upload it to KZbin so the world can see just how much of a badass Tina Turner is!

I think you're talking about when she appeared on *_Shindig!_* When she's in pants and has the Blossoms as her backup singers.

"Goodbye, So Long" was the very first 45 I ever bought by Ike & Tina and it was on this show (Hollywood a' Go Go) that I first saw her perform! Even as a kid I knew a star when I saw one. Shine on TT...

Without Ike around👍👍👍

@@faithtyson1181: Ike Turner was ALWAYS in the mix. Every performance was by his approval only. Anything the producers of any show paid was issued directly to IKE. After all, he owned the rights to the name "Tina Turner." But yes... When she performed without Ike she performed differently.
