One of my favorites by the Queen! What an American treasure! Tina was awesome and loved by anyone that I knew at the time. We all still love you Tina! RIP. I still remember hearing this song for the first time. I was walking back into the living room after a restroom break and this video was playing, and I was in awe. I will always remember that moment as long as I live. What an interesting and well-done video with the perfect vocals to bring it home.😂

Part of the truth that the song was written by Mark Knopfer. Obviously "her" best song because Dire Straits means quality in music.

OMG... discovered HER as a teenager with this great song....40 years later this still sounds GREAT! 🙏🔥❤️🔥🙏⚡👍🌟 Am reading her latest bio, this video was a great shooting , and the song is very well treating a subject: prostitution...again, she was right, no vulgarity, a compassionate but very powerful emotional moment!

I'm not sure any woman is as cool as Tina Turner. The texture of her voice unlocks depths of the soul pedestrians fear to tread. Love you Tina and fellow fans around the world. If I sound pretentious as usual... Good! She's worthy of the honor!

This song is so sensual and the instrumental pieces at the end are fantastic - the interaction between the guitar and keyboards always stood out to me. 35 years old and still brilliant!

The most charismatic and elecctrifying female rocker in history! Private Dancer still remains Tina's biggest selling hit here in the UK, and infact was the single that made her name here...even bigger than What's Love (Got To Do With It). We love you Tina....XXXX. Chris (UK).

Christopher Rowan Facts! She’s bigger in Europe. A lot of Americans don’t realize that because she was big in the states as well, but in Europe she was bigger than Madonna and as big as The Rolling Stones.

I had no idea this wonderful song was written by Mark Knopfler for Love over Gold but you can absolutely hear it once you know it. Turner's voice carries life experience that just can't be mimicked by young pretenders - however talented they are.

Knopfler claims Jeff Beck's "Private Dancer" guitar solo is the second ugliest guitar solo ever. I'm assuming the ugliest would be Knopfler's solo on Steely Dan's "Time Out of Mind".

Droga Tino byłaś i będziesz zawsze THE BEST. ♥♥♥

Did you know that the song Private Dancer was about the working girls, the many women who found themselves trying to live in a world where they were otherwise rejected, so sold their bodies for money. The lyrics are quite deep when you listen to them. Rest in the paradise of unconditional love Tina, thank you for blessing us with your beautiful songs💔🌹

My mother explained to me that the song was about a stripper/escort who hates her job but can't bring herself to leave because of the money. She wanted to live a normal life with a husband and children but couldn't BECAUSE she never left her job since the money was so good. So she worked a job she hated until she died as hinted by the ending scene of people throwing flowers on her.

@@Elly3981 there are satanic images all over the video. What does that baphomet dancing behold the curtain at 2 minutes have to do with stripping?
@fredwerza3478 Жыл бұрын
I spent a lot of time in strip clubs as a younger man and this song definitely reflects the vibe I saw --- women who were using their bodies to make money, but their eyes had the "1000 Yard Stare" --- they had no enjoyment in their work and you can't blame them --- wearing a thong and grinding on old ugly men and feeling them getting aroused beneath you, that is just sad and disgusting way of paying the bills for a dignified young lady!
@Elly3981 Жыл бұрын
@@fredwerza3478 You can't blame dancers or escorts for doing what they need to pay the bills if they have no other skills. I think that dancing is a good way to pay your way through college but don't get stuck in it for too long.
