Saw her in London on the same tour. She clearly wasn't miming. Weirdest thing was that she was more or less note perfect for the whole show, which I hadn't imagined was even possible with a voice like THAT. Very impressive. I remember the opposite experience with U2 for Popmart -- Bono couldn't hold a note and sang flat the whole time. It was excruciating.

Yeah I saw Tina several times throughout her lifetime with great seats up front and she always sang live. Even saw her once when she had a cold and she gave 110% on that stage.

Seen in Austin, in 2001 - with this band and these dancers, i think. A peak experience to be sure! In spite of the sensually of the song - I mean, what be more sensual than Tina Turner telling you, "Whatever You Want from me, I will do for you" - this is a power to this music that transcends mere existence and add a spiritual flood of chills and a rush of endogenous DMT in my brain. Happy tears, go glad to be ALIVE! It feels like salvation!!!
