I live in a RV full time. Steel wool is good. I add cayenne pepper on the steel wool. Mice don't like it at all. I live on a farm so I have little critters.

Did I hear Bob, correctly..a 1978 Chevy Malibu? The Corvette engine sounds awesome! Several of my friends have classic cars, so I enjoy going to car shows with them. Hi guys, I don't know what you're using for mice but I've done the Irish Spring soap, Dryer sheets and some other stuff. Didn't really work. The last 3 years I've gone to Tractor Supply and gotten a repellent (comes in a box with 3 or 4 sachet type packets) in and it seems to be working. They make them for RV's, tractors (w/cabs), trucks. Anything that sits for a while.

Put Bay Leaves and Garlic in every cubby and corner you can. They don't like it. Add to that some Ceder blocks bugs don't like that. And I mean every cubby inside and outside of the camper. Any cubby that has a opening to wires bay leaf garlic and ceder. And you should be able to keep most pests out of your camper.

When I was a girl we lived out in the country there was a little field mouse that lived in our closet walls every morning he would come out as I was getting dressed I would throw a little piece of bread out for him. He was so cute. My mom would have had a fit if she knew that. This was back in the 50s.

I watch some homesteaders in Oklahoma, they live in their RV while they save to build their house! They found mice here and there, then they found more and more! They tore stuff apart, and they realized the RV was infested, they looked behind the refrigerator, in the vents, underneath the RV, and all over! They tried everything on the market to get rid of them, mouse traps, every product that they could find, and everything that people suggested! I don't know if they ever got it totally under control! That's bad that there are that many mice in the RV, when you're living in it every day!

Just as an FYI: to help out with the mice trying to make a home in your RV a friend once told me when I bought the RV off of her to put dryer sheets, scented dryer sheets, throughout the RV when you’re not using it and the mice will not come in, they don’t like the smell so you don’t have to put out poison or anything like that just those dryer sheets, scented dryer sheets and you can buy the cheap ones and believe it or not it works.
