It's crazy how your thoughts and feelings can attract you to certain explanations in life. This is how I've been feeling about a particular someone for 3 years, and I've been a big Tinashe fan for about 1 year now, and I didn't even process that this song is sort of about wanting to tell someone you love them but standing in fear that they won't love you back, so you create a place in your mind where you can both share each other's love and happiness. It's like a mental tugger war. You are constantly fighting with yourself over an idea. An idea that love could exist between yourself and the one you love, but your uncertainty anchors you to the ground. You feel alone, lost, bottled up. This song in every aspect, demonstrates the feeling, the sound, and the thoughts that come with your internal struggle. It makes you feel how you would feel when you're struggling to tell that one person, that you love them more than anything or anyone in your lifetime. And that is a feeling that is so rarely demonstrated with such accuracy. I have never been so in love with an artist - her creativity, poetical lyrics, down to earth attitude, ambition, energy, it brings so much raw truth about the music industry, love, and life itself. I love you Tinashe. Thank you.

From an Aquarius point of view this video really hit me hard. I think what she was trying to portray in the video with an army outfit is that she's a warrior. Aquarius come off very protective of themselves so that was a resemblance and symbolism of her protecting herself. I think her being in the desert and all alone without a love interest is that Aquarius have a hard time connecting with their lovers which is why she keeps slapping herself onto the ground. This is her way of not beating herself up...but not understanding. Aquarius are so misunderstood especially when it comes to love we have a hard time opening up which is why she keeps running and pulling herself back and then running again. Towards the end of the video they zoom in on her running even more but she stops, looks back to see if anyone will save her but then turns back again to run which is referring to her not stopping. In love and in life. Tinashe does a really great job of representing silence when it comes to pain. Aquarius have a hard time expressing themselves when it comes to love emotions/feeling, anything of that sort. I think she did the song justice because when you listen to the song you think of emptiness and the desert was a great place for her to be in. She may have another view of her creativity but this is just from another Aquarius's perspective and I really enjoyed her creativity in this video. Great job lady... So so proud of you♒️❤️

I like to imagine a version of this video where she's in love with a guy that's in the army. They get married. filmmaker here...love tinashe and the songs but come on BRUHHHHHHHH this music video? first of all the fonts made ma cringe..though no one but me probably cares about that..and the drifting titles stuck to the camera movement yikess..and JESUS CHRIST "chapter 1" really? sad lame attempt at french new wave sttyle? and the reverse movement back and forth just made me wanna shoot the editor cuz it seems like they just discovered special effects for the first time..i can go on and on about wasted footage but the point im making here is that we need to challenge ourselves when it comes to "artistic" just because its confusing and weird doesnt make it good filmmaking....lemme close again by saying im a big fan of tinashe and im sure she had some kind of point she was trying to get across...director takes the L here...

Ok let me clarify something. When I say visually stunning I was referring to the landscapes. Take out the music and Tinashe and just look at the locations , in my opinion it looked great. The red sand, the cracked ground ext. That is what I meant. We all are entitled to our opinions. Beautiful and different types of locations are just stunning to me. I’ve been listening to this song for a while and it’s so deep and took a while for me to interpret from my point of view. I think what’s so awesome about music especially Tinashes music is that it is open for interpretation. The way I interpreted it is that she struggles with opening up in relationships because I know I have that issue too, that if you were to open up and be vulnerable with that person you love, the rejection would be unbearable and the friendship with that person wouldn’t be the same. I feel like as a creative we can be so hard on ourselves because your presenting yourself and unless your a psychopath you take a lot of pride in what you do and want it to be perfect. I think for me pride is a control thing, and not letting people in keeps them at a distant and therefore you feel alone like no one knows you. I think she did a great job showing this in the video as you can see she has this inner battle within herself between wanting to protect herself but Also wanting to open up to that person and tell them how she feels, living in your head pretty much. growing up I always felt like vulnerability is a weakness when really it’s not, it’s brave.She’s amazing wow.

I am still watching this today as I watch every time I feel like this. There's something about this song which makes me think about that someone who had a massive impact on my life. I may not be an Aquarius (Leo), but I can say this is accurately genius. Having alot of Aquarius friends, its to real to know they have a struggle loving people. Pretty artsy video. Not what I imagined when I heard the song at all, but still good. I imagined it's was a New Years Eve type of scenario, and the whole day was leading up to the night; we follow Tinashe and the love interest up until the New Years Eve outdoor, ball-dropping party party in New York, and she ends up looking for (and finding) the guy. But the video plays out two ways at the end--in the other ending she never does find the guy though she thinks she sees him, he just disappears. But that was just my imagination.
