I wish tinashe could see that this type of sound, is not only where she shines best, but it is becoming the new thing in 2021. If sza or doja released this now, it would be a hit. She needs to step out of the box in order to stand out. If she keeps releasing this wave of generic r&b and pop, she will never be truly big. I get the feeling she doesnt know how good she is, and it shows by the stuff she chooses to release in the albums edit: i loved her bb/angel body of work, yet the insecurity she has towards her real sound still shows through how small it is

yes!! I discovered tinashe back in early 2016 from her mixtapes. I love this type of sound. it's so etheral. in my opinion, she is the first to do it

You don’t sound like a Tinashe fan at all. She literally STILL makes this type of music. But you can’t keep expecting a artist to make ONE sound, she has never been the type to be stuck in one box from the moment she started. Y’all bringing up other artist comparing if they were to release this song blah blah when they literally have a much bigger fan base/celebrity & have a label to back them, they are literally irrelevant to her career. She’s independent af so y’all need to give her grace, she is very much STILL successful in this industry just because she’s not Beyoncé level of fame doesn’t equal to her not blowing up the way YOU think she should. She has a fan base, she’s making money doing what she loves & still putting out albums. That’s all that’s important

As much as I love Tinashe n believe she has her own unique talent I cant help to think how much she sounds like other artists in some of her songs. For example on this track she sounds a lot like Aaliyah n also on "Aint Ready". On "Lookin 4 It" she sounds like Ciara. N on " Watch me Work" she sounds like Rihanna. Anybody else agree?
