i feel like a lot of artists try and score diversity points by darkening skintones in their art, but dont actually put the effort into learning how to create black faces, so it’s so nice to see someone who has put obvious care into making sure she has actual accurate black features. shes so beautiful ❤️

With the risk of starting a dumpsterfire, I can imagine why people are afraid to create the black features. Because if you accidentally put too much clay on the lips or you make the nose too wide or..well..if you're not that talented with sculpting/painting/drawing/crafting yet, something like that can go horribly wrong. I've painted an Asian lady once, but her skintone was more 'tan' than Asian. Someone told me to destroy it, because it was racist garbage.

Ps: Have you ever tried other mediums like cold porcelain? Big amounts of polymer clay is so expensive to me so I make my own cold porcelain instead :/ Also curious if it takes you longer to finish a sculpture because you film the process? Like having to make sure it's focused, centered etc lol I'm wondering if I'm just that big of a spaz 🤭

I need to give a thumbs up for choosing the skin color. Because beauty is the purity not the shade. In India lord Krishna and Shiva Gods with dark complexion But the artists and television media made them look blue and fair . Atleast people in this generation should atleast recognize the fact.
