Various trustworthy institutions, including the CDC, the NIH, and the SAMHSA, acknowledge that there needs to be further research done on the effects of marijuana use during pregnancy, but all of the above institutions seem to have the stance that it is not a good idea, even for the supposed benefits of relief from stress and nausea. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Academy of Pediatrics straight-up advise/recommend that pregnant women avoid marijuana.
