Just a thought, but maybe because you used the spin mop first, it pre-loosened the dirt, so when you used the Tineco, the remaining dirt was primed and ready to come right up more easily. When I clean my tile patio, that is exactly what I do and it works great! What I found, was that if I pre-wet the patio tile first (just water with the garden house), then after about 10-20 mins (because I usually fit in another chore), then I use my old power washer and blast it clean the rest of the way. It takes way less time and most important, energy, to pre-soften the dirt so it's ready to go! If the tiles look really dirty, I may mix a little Borax or outdoor hard-surface cleaner into a bucket of hot water, and splash it on the tile that I had hosed down (after I swept it first, of course). Then it's more than ready to be hosed down again either by a regular garden hose with a spray tip on it, or a power washer (and I have used both). INSIDE the house, I use a similar easy method on the tiles. (I have pets 😂). I may lightly mop on some water (or spritz on water with a little Borax or tile cleaning solution in it), first, then 5-10 minutes later, use my steam cleaner and/or spin mop to easily clean-up the pre-loosened dirt). I'm doing a section at a time (not the entire floor all at once). My additional tip for cleaning tiles while using this method, (and yes, this helps slow the build up of dirt, etc. because if you have any soap residue left on the floor tiles and/or grout, the soap residue will attract and hold the new dirt!), is to give a quick once-over the tile floor after you pulled up the dirty water with some clean water for a rinse, then use a wet/dry vac to pull up that water (which will have the soap/dirt residue in it now). I have a full-size household wet/dry vac, and a smaller one (about 1/4 in size and water holding capacity), that I use for regular household chores. The full-sized one was used for big water problems, like burst pipes water clean-up, etc. Yes, lived in a 90+ year old house and it happens!

Love your comparison videos Stacie ❤️ Could you share the link to the Tineco model that you've been using? Plenty of options online are confusing

Great coverage Stacie❣️🤩. I am disabled and the tineco could be a great help to me as it does two jobs in one! Is the unit plus the solution safe on laminate floors? The I guess a mop is good for baseboards and corners.

Yes the tineco and the solution are both safe on all laminate, hardwood and lvp floors!

Wow! I need the Tineco, because I always NEED to vacuum my floors first. The dog, people, and just flying dirt from outside, all leave dirt and tidbits. I do love the O Cedar for getting under the stove and fridge, etc.

So do you no longer use a swiffer? Or do you use it after Tineco.

I do not! Don't even own one anymore

@@thehomeadmin if you didn’t have a tineco would you still use the swiffer wet jet?

@@petergriffinson1907 maybe for small area cleanups but if not for the tineco I would use an ocedar because it is much more thorough

@@thehomeadmin thorough cause of the size of the mop head? Didn't the Swiffer kill more bacteria? Sorry! Your videos have been super helpful!

I have the original Tineco but am considering the O Cedar Rinse Clean. Maybe I missed this but wouldn’t the Tineco water be dirtier because you are no sweeping beforehand so it’s getting all that extra dirt as well? Or did you sweep prior to using both? I typically run a robot shark vacuum daily because we have vinyl plank in our entire home expect for bedrooms and we have kids and pets. I was thinking maybe sometimes it would be easier to just use the O Cedar quickly after the robot runs vs the Tineco. I also was interested in the O Cedar for baseboards and even for walls or shower walls. Have you used your for either of those? Thanks!!

I also have the Norwex microfiber mop…
@thehomeadmin2 жыл бұрын
Yes I swept the entire floor prior to mopping with both systems to be fair. And I do use my ocedar for walls, doors and baseboards as well! I think both systems are needed and have use in the home in their own way. Especially if I want to do a deep clean in the bathrooms with some bleach, the ocedar will do a far better job

Thanks so much for the reply! Today you can get $15 off the O Cedar on Amazon so I may just have to finally order. 😁

Her conclusion isn't valid. She needed to do another comparison. Mop with the Tineco then with the O'Cedar Spin Mop then compare the water. Bet ya the O'Cedar ended up picking up plenty of dirt the Tineco didn't.

Does Tineco have competitors?

@PinkPower4 One thing I don"t like about the tineco is it doesn't put out enough water in my opinion. So I wet the floor myself and use it to soak up the water/solution.
@JesusistheonetrueGod Жыл бұрын
@PinkPower4 Sure thing. It may take about 3 passes to get up tough stains.
