Such a treat to watch a wild life video without a nauseating narrator telling me what the bears are thinking, that they are angry or frustrated.and how the ice is melting and how humans are bad bad bad. I knew bears could swim but I didn't realize how WELL they swim. They're just as home in the water as they are on land. That water is coooold I know, but their wonderful overhairs and thick undercoats keep them warm and remarkable dry. Amazing how the mother manages to keep an eye on all three at once while still ambling along while they are going every which-way.

That is a really nasty fence to have around animals, especially bears. Amazing how the baby was able to climb the pole and get back to mom. They are such clever animals! I wonder why that fence is there?

Raymond Varney ah thanks. I'm from Africa so I know nothing about the North American way of life. Would love to visit Canada though! Wish the people who put up this fence had thought about bears using it as a bridge - a rather dangerous bridge. A smaller bear may not have been able to climb that pole. Shudder to think...
