It’s not my favorite style of tuning, but it’s one that MANY will like.

I don't think I'll be picking up another planar soon but it's cool that there's now an option in the market to fill the void of the og Wu (but, yeah, would have been nice for them to include a case or pouch). Thank you for another great review! 👍

Ya… that’s kind of the problem is now planar is the new DD and there is lots of the same out there. And if anyone has one of the other well tuned planars this one isn’t far off.

Great review Stephen. A bit confused that it doesn't come with a case.

Totally! Very weird…

I like that tin hifi came back with this but still that chill tuning will be missed im sure. Im sure the other planars like hidizs and basn are serving that preference well tho.

Kiwi Ears Melody has been my go-to planar. It's hard to beat at $89.

It’s under $100!? Dang…

@@HobbyTalk The only negatives are no case or pouch, and the provided tips are crap. Dunu S&S tips are great on the Melody.

Sounds like most of the planars aren't worth upgrading to from my Artti T10. I just wish my T10 had more expansive staging then I wouldn't really be considering anything else...
@HobbyTalk8 ай бұрын
Haven’t tried that one but ya, I normally suggest holding out and saving money for better haha
@innovance37888 ай бұрын
@@HobbyTalk Ooh they're defo worth a look, the T10's been findable around $50 the past few months, which makes it feel even worse when looking at a lot the higher priced planars. But I guess thats just how it goes in the iem game 😂 Yeh I defo hear that, I could have bought 1 good set for the amount of budget sets I've been through so far, so now I'm just trying to figure out what to save up for!
@HobbyTalk8 ай бұрын
@@innovance3788 totally! Yeah haha I’ll have to check that set out. I had to stop buying budget sets to afford sets I actually want lol

I have the original S12 and the S12 Pro, the latter being my reference. I will be picking up the Max 2 to check it out because I want a companion planar for my Pros.
@HobbyTalk8 ай бұрын
It’s very similar tuning style if that’s what you’re looking for.
@housepianist8 ай бұрын
@@HobbyTalk yeah I really like the tuning of the S12 Pro but I wouldn’t mind a slightly smoother version of it. The new S15 could give me that but I’m not spending twice the price! 🙂

It seems that planar are getting better in terms of tuning. As it's new tech for iem. I will wait for 6 months and then i will grab some better tumed planar. Hidiz mp145 is prime example of this. That shell is just too big to buy.
@HobbyTalk8 ай бұрын
Yeah, mp145 is huge, but it is the best one to me
@fuzail33798 ай бұрын
@@HobbyTalk i haven't tried them yet. performer 5 was best for me in terms of fitting. Hope anything like that size with Mp145's tuning to planar. I would love it. I'm looking for S15. But I'm thinking it's overpriced so I'm waiting.
