Thank you Scott. I just purchased a Macro 100mm and have been playing with it as you suggest. So much to learn. Coming from the landscape genre, there are some compositional elements that are the same but this is a whole new way of thinking and creating. Appreciate the overview, particularly on the lighting.

Even though macro isn't my thing, I do have a macro lens that I toy around with from time to time. Great tip on wide open macros too. It gives me something to experiment with. I really enjoyed the presentation! Great stuff!

Sometimes, but only if I cant get enough movements form a tilt shift lens

I THINK it is called a Manfrotto Salon Large. I wouldnt go for the same again though, I would go for the big Cambo in hindsight.

I kinda think long shutter speeds kind of make the light not look as good

The Clips yeah you can certainly get some ambient bleed (not sure if there is an official term) if you don’t have enough flash power
