Tinker Bell Books vs. Movies

The books would make for a very cute Disney+ mini series. I find it funny that in the movies Silvermist could be very anxious when in the books she was known to be extremely calm to a fault. I do think many of the core book characters are seen as having less simple personalities that couldn't be made into typical girl group stereotypes. They'll always be more near and dear to my heart but I do love the movies too.

I read the books before watching the movies and they both hold a special place in my heart. I love some of the book fairies though like Prilla, Dulce, Bess, Rani, and Beck!

I remember those book's illustration but forget when and why I saw them. I have a familiar feelings after seeing those illustration now. It's really weird that the memories just left a tiny part

i think the preference here will always come down to personal nostalgia. i was primarily a books kid, so they'll always have a soft spot in my heart. even coming back to them, the art is stunning and i miss some of their original characters, especially rani. her backstory was so cool to me when i was little and i wish she got to make the jump over to film!!

I really hope that Disney does bring back the fairies. There hasn’t been a Tinkerbell related piece of media released by Disney in years and I believe they removed Pixie Hollow from the parks. I’m not sure if Tink even appears in the parks much anymore. Of course outside of parades and the firework show where she flies across the sky. Maybe Disney thinks they’re not as popular as they once were, but it would be nice to see them back.

My friend had the Disney fairies magazine as a kid and I loved the art style and found especially Ranni (?) super beautiful. But I was never really interested in their world until the movies came out. My first Tinkerbell DVD was the special edition of the second movie and I still like that movie the most even though all of them are great!

I remember going to Barnes and Nobles years ago, finding the Tinkerbell books, sit down right in the aisle and see how many I could read before my mom was ready to go

There's also Tinker Bell and the Wings of Rani, which is the second graphic novel published by Papercutz with five full-colour comics, with the fifth one called Barefoot: After Queen Clarion's helpers lose her shoes, she decides to go barefoot making it the latest trend in Pixie Hollow. When the fairies go barefoot, good and bad things happen to them, Rani catches a cold, Bess gets paint all over her feet and Tinker Bell steps on something hard. They all decide to wear shoes again, when Queen Clarion is seen wearing shoes again. In the end its revealed that Queen Clarion loves to go barefoot whenever she can.

I still own some Disney Fairies books, magazines and comics by Panini comics. I still own my clickables toy with my PixieHollow fairy and the dolls of Tinkerbell, Rani, and Feera. ❤

At the end of the day I still wish we had a movie for the rest of Tinker Bell‘s friends. Although vidia isn’t my favorite fairy, A movie that’s about her could be about her being less “ discriminating?“ towards other talents would probably be ok. discriminating is too big of a word but it’s all I can think about at the moment. Call it cliché or whatever, but at least at the end with a movie with that plot she wouldn’t really have to change, but just be more accepting of one’s talents. But then again, vidia being vidia is what makes her who she is. She wouldn’t be herself if she was acting different
