Your channel has recently inspired me to start looking for scrap, and it seems to be everywhere, my garage is full already! I’d like to ask your opinion on how to set up storage going forward. Do you use buckets or bins? How many would you recommend for the various types of scrap I’ll need to separate?

It does fill up quick. I use bins for things I need to still take apart and buckets for small items like copper and brass to store and save up. Items like tin, because it is larger I usually keep in a nice pile and once it is a load, bring it in. Don’t store up too much, because it will soon overtake you. Luckily my wife is patient, but even she has been insisting on finishing what I have first before picking up too much more. Thanks for the comment and support

Don't feel too bad about plastic going into the landfill. It is basically carbon storage. Recycling plastics is not much greener than creating new ones, if it is at all.
