it's a draft game. what you mean makes sense because it deals with more varied threats when you're laddering, for example, but if you know which mons you opponent might bring you can make specific sets to answer them. it's kind of the whole point ...in this case, I'm guessing banded makes sense for the higher starting power with a bulky and relatively fast Mon for low tiers

10 turns of hax?? What game did you watch? He missed 1 Megahorn but hit 2 Gunk Shots and 2 Hustle Outrages, which is about average luck. Crit on Pecharunt didn't matter, roll on Flapple was in Drew's favor since he was modest. Registeel crit mattered. Drew should've 100% used First Impression to guarantee the win. But even then, the Registeel only had ~25% chance to kill the Lokix, so it was still in Drew's favor. Also, Joey's Red Card brought in Typhlosion, which was RNG in Joey's favor.
