12:02 That is NOT the voice I expected to come out of that mouth! TinTin looks like he's 12 in this game, and he sounds at least 10 years older! :D That's insane. Also, thanks for including these! Also: yes, the game was 100% playtested. Playtesters aren't idiots, and the developers aren't either. Usually when games release in this state, it's because higher-ups forced them to release them early. Nobody that pours their heart and soul into a work like this wants it to release in such a broken state. But executives don't care, they only care about money. Well, either way, it wasn't gonna sell that well, so they probably decided to at least get a bit of money sooner rather than later. P.S.: those Snowy sections really reminded me of the dog-mode from Rise of the Triad :D

I’ll be including plenty of sound in future thanks to your suggestion 😀 Yeah to me the voice sounds close enough to the Tin Tim I remember from the TV series so I can certainly live with it… It will be very interesting to see how the Nintendo Switch version performs from a bug and performance perspective…

I don't know, that voice for Tintin sounds perfect to me, it's similar to the voice in the animated series. But yeah even the developers warned us right before the game came out, they said it wasn't in the state they wanted it to be, that they would try to fix it, seems to me the publisher was pressuring them to release it.

I just got the game and I find it’s going off the 2011 movie voice and look I play only a little bit and it’s good so far to me

As a massive tintin fan In my opinion Cigars of the Pharaoh was great but i played it when it first came out so there was some game breaking bugs sadly BUT now they are all fixed and the game is really good

I played on xbox series x so all i got was a bug that just would not let u go onto the next bit of the game and when u left to try fix it , it was not saving properly and sent me back but i have completed the game now and no bugs where encountered

Thats on xbox all bugs seem fixed

This is coming to Nintendo Switch this month. I hope they've fixed it for this port because, as you say, this looks really well done and a potentially fun adventure. However, the all-too-close over the shoulder cam bothers me a little. Why do modern games so frequently have an aversion to more cinematic fixed-cameras, or dynamic but from varied angles, or actually showing the entire character? Especially in explorative areas with no aiming or anything needed.

Really appreciate this review of a somewhat, under the radar title. Sometimes it's worth diving into these types of games as you may find an underrated classic. In this case, it is easy to see why this has very mixed to negative reviews. Combined with the high price, which is something I notice with a lot of Microids titles... I'm giving this one a miss. It's worth noting that recently, Microids games on all formats, have a tendency to be buggy, unpolished and expensive. Flashback 2 is another one I was looking into, but passed on it due to the many technical issues and high price. I know Microids is a long-time publisher and developer in France, since the 80's - You'd thought they know the correct procedure for quality control.

Glad you enjoyed the video! Price was I suggest the Tim Tin license was not cheap… makes you wonder if it would have worked as a stand alone non Tin Tin game. Hopefully the bugs can be fixed or may already have been… the irony is that they are minor bugs in most cases but compound rapidly. The developer actually did reach out to me on Twitter and thanked me for my objective review so there is hope!

I was scrolling through Reddit when I saw a post about this game and I was like “they did make a new game about Tintin??” So I came here not expecting to find any reviews tbh, But to my surprise stumbled upon yours, and boy you had no right being this GOOD! I just stumbled upon the limited edition and the backside of the box says "Download required (min 70gb). Update required to play full game". That's already a red flag. 🤔

Thanks for the video mate . Had trouble with bugs with this game a lot no voices in citscenes charachters not being able to move once level loaded top down puzzles fafing to black and after all this i just gave up Reference point of giving up for me would be the top down pizzle involving lights after the awkward hard puzzle around the purple heiroglyph .

Glad you liked the video! Oh I had the same issues… I also had random skipping of audio during cutscenes. It’s such a shame because the actual underlying game is really good, it’s just the bugs that ruin the experience.

Pity it seems so unstable. Otherwise I'd pick it up for sure. I love Tintin and I love puzzle games. This looks so fun, it would have been an immediate buy for my Switch, but the bugs are a deal breaker.

I don't know if this is a popular opinion, but I had a lot going of fun on the movie video game and really want to try this one out. After the movie came out, I got really into the comics and and the game and all that and can't wait to see more of Tintin. Also with the first half of his first adventure becoming Public Domain in the United States next year, it's just good stuff going on.

Played San Andreas Definitive Edition a couple months ago with the recent updates on the PS4. I didn't have any problems.

@@ReptileNL I had issues with the cheat codes and it didn’t work I did chat with the developers from rockstar games and I said please have a patch or else add Scriptbypass as a cheat and skip ⏭ too. And that’s why my latches couldn’t work my patches couldn’t work gave it 3.5 update 10/10. Rockstar games should definitely listen to fans and especially when it comes to improvements and updates and video game too. And same thing that goes with take 2 interactive too.
