Madam, we are not a democracy. We have civil rule, no doubt. A situation where some people are prevented from voting is not a democracy. A situation where one person brags to have singlehandedly "installed" a governor is not a democracy. A situation where State security agents are using to rig elections is not a democracy.
@ray-df8bqАй бұрын
@@andosehcampbel5701 Buba Galadima is Baba Galadima. Baba is father and Galadima is in every right deserving to be called father or Baba. Number 2 you're asking about his father. Has his father ever been in public office? That's even too far. Has anybody from his tribe held number executive position in this country ever? Don't say Zik cos Zik had no executive powers. He was ceremonial

From this discussion I agree with the lady. She is happy about one thing " Nigeria has democracy". As long as you can say "we have democracy" everything is ecstacy. Democracy is the magic word,it is all that the people needs. Every four years the citizens get a chance to vote. This is democracy and after voting the people must go back to whence they came. They must appear in another 4 years to vote and everything is wonderful. She does not care about, proverty, suffering, looting, banditry, terrorism and all manner of deprivation. All she cares about is the word democracy.

I have never supported Tinubu’s government, neither did he won the election that brought him to office. But the truth of matter is, since Tinubu became president the elites in the north have never been happy. Neither did they supported Peter Obi who by all logic and indications would have been far better than Tinubu.

Good panel Constance and Arise, education👍🏻. Totally enjoyed the discussion. Even now qulity of private schools is not that good. My son went to private elementary school cost about N400,000 per sections. I noticed pride and air of arrogance in his behavior with low academic values. This year I checked private secondary schools for him. The least price starts from N800,000. I decided to put him in public school. Education system is that bad.

Nigeria is blessed with abundant human and natural resources therefore, the only significant genuine hard decision the president of Nigeria will take for the interest of Nigerians is to end the politics of personal interest that overrides national interest. This action will end corruption, insecurity, underdevelopment and poverty within three months. Removing subsidies is only enriching the rich and improvising the millions of less privileged Nigerians.

Its the beginning of misplaced priorities for leadership recruitment. The origin of political recruitment ought to be the beginning of doing the right thing. Then, look at the electoral process too to place the right ones in the right place for better quality of leadership.

Nigeria is a country that has so much potential because of it's vast resources, both human and natural. This has made us a target of the West, who have sworn not to relinquish these resources they controlled pre-independence. So post -independence, they have consistently imposed on us puppets in power who have protected their own and Western interests. Our economy is at the mercy of the West... the only way forward is if we have selfless and fearless leaders who have the political will to resist Neo-colonialism, process our resources and trade same on our own terms and most importantly in Naira. All our international trade must be done in Naira, We did it before and see how prosperous we were.
