Son, I remember back in 1979 my newly minted wife and I went tent camping in Beaver Dam SP in southern Illinois. That was our only time of camping together. I don't recall taking our daughters camping. But, our son-in-law and grandson have camped all over Illinois and southern Missouri. In fact now that I am 70, I just bought the grandboy some new camping stuff and I bought his little sister a little two person tent of her own so she can go camping too.⛺🔥

My husband and I did a lot of camping when we were much younger, but we almost always used a tent and slept on the queen sized mattress we borrowed from our sofa. We had the same interests which is very important in a good marriage. So Happy you and Riley are the same way!!! Olivia will 99.99%, follow suit in the same interests! @@alancoe1002 I WILL. WE USED TO CAMP BY RIVERS, LAKES, AND ALSO IN THE EARLY 70'S BACKPACK INTO THE NATIONAL PARK FOR A FEW DAYS IN THE DEAD OF WINTER IN THE LINVILLE GORGE WILDERNESS AREA OF NC. WE WERE CRAZY BACK THEN! LOL! I GET COLD THINKING ABOUT THAT NOW! LOL! ONCE, IN THE EARLY 80'S, WHILE STAYING AT A CABIN THAT I PARTIALLY STILL OWN, WE ENCOUNTERED A ONCE CONVICTED MURDERER BEING PURSUED BY THE LAW FOR RAPE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, THAT FINALLY MADE A MOVE ON US ABOUT 4AM AND MY WIFE FIRED A SHOT AT HIM AFTER HE CUT 2 TIRES ON A FRIENDS JEEP TO TRY KEEP US FROM GETTING AWAY AND HE FLED AND IT TOOK THE SBI 3 MONTHS TO FINALLY CATCH HIM. ABOUT A YEAR LATER HE BLEW HIS FRIENDS HEAD OFF WITH A SHOTGUN AND WAS PUT ON DEATH ROW WHERE HE DIED BEFORE BEING EXECUTED. WE HAD VERY YOUNG CHILDREN WITH US AT THAT TIME. THE EARLIER YEARS WERE ALL PEACEFUL. THE BIGGEST DANGERS ARE NOT ANIMALS, BUT HUMAN BEINGS. WE DON'T CAMP ANYMORE, BUT WE BOTH LEGALLY CARRY AT ALL TIMES IN TODAY'S USA REGARDLESS OF WHERE WE GO. Great video! It's always fun to push yourself to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. The ebikes are great. I had an issue with the truck that I didn't have time to fix. I brought it to the mechanic this morning and rode the ebike to work from the shop. I made 5 miles in no time, and it was fun rippin around town. See ya again next week.

Son, I don't know if your choice of camping during deer hunting season was very wise. I know that you both were wearing your orange vests. But, your cabin still blended in with the surroundings. There are two many inexperienced hunters out hunting during deer season. You certainly wouldn't want that cabin ( or person) to get shot at accidently. It can happen, I know from experience. My point is: don't be in the woods when you know numerous people are going to be hunting in close proximity. I know of a State Park that is closed to mushroom hunting in the portion were Spring turkey hunting is allowed just for safety reasons. So far it has worked out for people who want to mushroom hunt and for turkey hunters. They never meet. Both can do their specific kind of hunting without making it dangerous for the other.

She’s actually doing much better and there’s much hope that it’s not what they thought was going on at first. There’s no mass on her spleen it turns out and she’s responding well to antibiotics…meaning it could be tick borne illness. So things are looking really good. We have a follow up appointment on Tuesday to see if her blood work is moving in the right direction and if so, it would seem that she’s going to be OK. I’m holding off on giving a large update on the page until then because it’s still technically up in the air. Thank you so much for praying and thinking of us 🙏🏽

I’m so happy for you guys…..1st overnight without Olivia. I’m sure you both missed her and she missed you guys…..but having some grown up time without the little one is definitely needed as well. Chuckling, this one brought back lots of memories and lots of chuckling. My wife is from Asia and is a foot shorter so the same thing with the bikes and all (not that they had them in 500 or 750 watt back in 1989). We had our honeymoon on who wood be the god mother/father's cabin and then a night out infantry style under only shelter half and tarp mid winter Northern IL Skipping well ahead, four years ago, I got the 750 so her 500 could not keep up. She fixed that by who pulls all of the gear now....

Lock up the bikes or they could be gone in the morning. Insulate with foam sheeting. It's cheap and light weight. Cat tails are great fire starter material.
