With a remote atoll oasis 400nm away, let's begin the journey to heaven!!... www.sailingnan...
In this episode, out to sea we go and it is downwind dream sailing, until its abruptly over... Smashed by squalls, we break the running rigging and are forced to enter into the islands to seek shelter for repairs. Our glass is always half full as we hadn't planned to stop here, however it is a very stunning area to stay for a while!!
Supplies are steadily dwindling away and are forced to head into the village in search of gas and food. Heading through the cut between the islands, we nearly have a collision with a ferry that wont stop or move!!
What an amazing village full of friendly faces. We are on land for no more than 2 minutes and walked 30 metres when ladies run out from all corners to play with our daughter Tallula. Nothing like having a baby when travelling!

This was such a great video (dispite not seeing the fishing). Tallula listening to all the explanations from dad, interactions with the locals, playtime on the beach with mum, dad bringing the catch home and doing your thing on the gas bottles. Spice rack! yeah defo. Dinner looked great then finished off the eve with a boogy. Top stuff. 👍 All the best from Uk

How did you find out about the love of sailing? How long did you date before he popped the question? We'll call the episode "Yews and news b4 LIFE ON NANDJI" I'm all ears👂 spill the juicy details! Hey Josh...the simple solution for refilling gas bottles whilst international cruising is get online and determine the gas fitting protocols for the respective countries that you intend to visit...and buy adaptors for same before embarking on your journey. It takes the hassle and accumulation out of having odd fitting gas bottles when space is a premium.
@daveamies5031
@daveamies5031 2 жыл бұрын
That's fine for countries that have standards...... You can't even be sure which style of electrical socket will be in use from one house to the next in Indonesia. The UK (type G) and EU (type E/F) are the most common.
@GypzyJack
@GypzyJack 2 жыл бұрын
@@daveamies5031 Lets just hope that their term of stay is less than the 3 months it will take to consume the spare bottle of liquid gas and needs refilling! ha ha ....besides, many of those 3rd world countries that you are referring to, e.g. Panama, don't have bulk liquid gas tanks in the seaside villages, and those that do will have satisfied the "standard" for doing so. This is not rocket science, champ. Having adaptors would certainly go a long way to reduce the number of gas bottlers from all those "electrical-socket-abounding countries around the world" stored in the spare cabin...JIC.

@@FrothLyfeSailingNandji Yes, for sure. If you were able to find that site it has some really cool stuff. I've noticed more 6 and above earthquakes in Indo than just about anywhere else and Bambo is so flexible and light it seems like the perfect building material.
