We found it extremely effective this last year to start corn in paper bags. We just put the bags in the garden when it was time and the plants had no problem growing straight through the paper

I noticed in another video you had mentioned some imune issues. I would liek to suggest a dust mask to wear when youre turning your compost maybe the straw waste also. Its well known that a fungus grows in silage and I suspect compost piles or inactive piles too. The spores of the fungus can cause soemthing called white lung or soemthing like that which can cause issues to farmers as they get older. Just a thought.

I have a pop up plastic greenhouse. No hotbed. Outside temps were 5 - 50F in January. When temps hit 50F last week, it was 110F inside the greenhouse, with the doors opening. It's just so tricky with temperatures here in Tennessee when growing under cover.

That is a intelligent ideal, i seen people having hot compost in the greenhouse for heat, but that is awesome having only a top on top of the pile. Economical, and you can start a second one. And by the time the plants get too big for the tiny greenhouse, you won't need it, not until in the late fall. You might be able to grow greens all year long with that, maybe. Maybe add a tiny amount of heat in dead of winter, like a light bulb or two. Or figure a way to cause the compost to decompose even faster and it will generate even more heat. Maybe put sides on it to help trap more heat to raise into the top, but i realize you probably left the sides open for air to get to the compost. Just leave the sides near the bottom open, that way you know it should pull cold air in from the bottom, and release hot air in the top. With the sides completely open all the way to the top, you might lose some heat. But leave about 4-6 inches between the solid side and the compost using the chicken wire, that way air still gets to all edges, but the solid sides will help it stay warmer. A wire box within a wooden box, with 4-6 inches around all sides and bottom, and of course your top they way you designed it with about 2-3 ft. But granted, i am only saying if you wanted to make it grow stuff all winter. But what you have done now already is genius.

I think with an area that small you have to focus on greens, like John Kohler says. You get a lot more from a small space. I just started Kale last year, and was amazed at how it kept producing all summer. You can probably grow vertically along the fence, also.

I promise if you hadn't ever tried his seeds you won't have any regrets when you do. He sales them (most of the pks) for 99¢ so I feel (it's just me, but not saying it's a bad thing) kinda guilty about getting a discount on top of the great prices. And unlike others that have 99cent seed pks, he has a very good amount in each pk. Check out his fertilizer as well, all natural and works better than MG 😆! She was using it in the new plantings on this video in the gold bag. It's called Trifecta. Hope you have a great week ahead and God bless.

Frederick Nolan egg color is simply a breed of chicken that adds pigment to the egg during development just before the egg is layed...nothing different in quality if they are fed well...some industrial farms offer terrible living conditions for laying hens, they are forced to do nothing but eat and lay in a box till they reach an are that is no longer prime for laying then these bird's are often sold, or given away to make room for a younger laying bird. That is a battery chicken...

Rabbit poo is manure (can be used in the garden immediately) that can be used in the garden without needing it to compost/ break down. Also expect to fail, if gardening was easy everyone would do it...learning something from it is the important part. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to raise everything perfectly...jump in and you'll figure things out along the way....

H2OK Farm : Go for it. FAIL stands for first attempt in learning. The other day I was using a new piece of technology to record a lecture in my high school algebra one class and I told them that this was my fail attempt. It doesn't have to be perfect on the first try, and the more you try the more you will learn. I wasn't happy with how my video turned out, and the software that comes with the device doesn't seem that powerful, but I'm looking for more info before I write it off. Make sure that if something you really want doesn't work at first that you get more info before you give it up.

Whenever I read or see something as heart-wearing as what you are doing, I always want to support the person, so here I am. I am a Reiki Master and Healer (10 years). This is for your chickens and family: put a dragon stone (smoky quartz) in the chicken coop. Clear the area around it just a little bit. Your chickens will soon pick up. It dispels doubt and raises comfort levels for the life you are leading. It is so staggeringly good, that once when I gave it to a client to hold while she was speaking (she was being very negative), she instantly forgot what she was going to say and could not remember it (ever). It did the same for me the first time I was given one to hold. I put one on my husband's bedside table - he can be cynical about things sometimes - and he is practically a changed man (and we have been married for 30 years!). Not a single negative word has left his lips all year. I would never have thought it could have such a strong effect, and yet it does. Even I have my doubts sometime.....LOL. Try to buy the most beautiful one you can. If the quartz has large peaks, the larger and more perfect these are, the more powerful the effect will be. Immune system: the Bodhimaya intermittent fasting plan has helped me (finally) heal my gut (which is your immune system) and it did this in less than three months. And it is very easy and soooo nice to do! If you need more info, email me at ingrid.burling@mac.com. I can break it down for you so it is quick and easy to understand. Most people do it on a retreat, but you can save yourself that money. I have been doing it at home for a few months and am just loving it. You don't need any special equipment for it either! I hope these things are helpful. Wish you all the best. :)

Using peat moss is not ecological at all ; Peatlands need hundred of years to build up ; so actively using this ecosystem material is participating to their destruction. Most of it is coming from eastern europe and are shipped worldwide. I use seaved alnus wood chips compost mix for starting germination and growing my seedlings and it works. I use also molehill dirt and vermicompost made @ home with organic waste for tiny seed sowings. I also use baggy germination starting methods to save space and enhance the germination rate before transplanting.
