Be sure to search for Atlas 6x6 too when ur looking for CR18 upgrades. It's the same truck, shell.

Yeah, same for all the FTX, Absima, Hobbyplus etc, they're all the same rigs just different branding. 👍

Excellent review of the ftx 6ixer, sorry Absima.. based on the FMS Atlas (different cab and wheels/tyres). :D Regarding the drag link on the front axle interfering with the steering arm.. consider fitting it below the knuckles as a free mod, thus further away from the steering arm.. I know this is an out of the box review though. Nice truck crawler for what it is!

Thanks very much and thanks for the tip. I guess the only downside then would be ground clearance. There's so many brands just doing these same mini crawlers now it's crazy! It did what I hoped a 6x6 would do though, powered over most things. With upgrades it would be a machine. 💪👍

Nice review! Did you ever do the upgrades? I'm looking to get one of these and make a few changes (wheels/tires, shocks, etc.)

Thanks very much 👍 I didn't yet, too many projects on the go. The Hobbyplus CR18P platform has come a long way since this with loads of nice upgrades. I'd take a look at the CR18P Evo Pro too, that thing is awesome, got a review in my Reviews playlist. 👍

The main issue would be the middle axle. RCAWD do metal portal axles for the CR18, but I don't think they do a centre axle. Tyres wise there'd loads to choose from, but the Little Guy Racing Parts Black Labels could be a great fit. 👍 It could do with a bigger motor too tbh, as its a bit too small imo. Hope that helps. 👍

I have the FTX 6ixer version of this 6x6 .Unfortunately, the gearbox had stripped its main gear after half an hour of gentle use . I've since ordered a metal geared box ,but needless to say, im hugely disappointed in the FTX version I will be converting it to 4x4 soon as I have time to video and post it 🙂i have an angry initial post about it on my little channel 🤨🤣

That's no good. The FTX version should be identical really, as FTX just rebrand the Hobbyplus etc stuff for the UK. 👍

OK ! It's a FMS Atlas 6x6, as said earlier in the comments. But your rig has a better transmitter, a better ESC and also a lower price. Good bargain, sir !😉 Must say the stock ESC, on my FMS Atlas, is actually awful. Not a big deal to find better. I had to do this job and now, i works fine.

I did an experiment with mine in camo version it managed to transport a 1kg dumbbell I don't think it was going to work 😂

It looks it's a Re-branding and Re-skining of the well known Fms or Rochobby Atlas 6x6. Even the bad slow Crawl Problem seems the same.
