So glad I backed yet another amazing tiny Epic game,

At 25:56 mins, orange robot makes a diagonal jump, according to page 18 of rule book it is over any number of spaces so technically the human player is in range of the jump attack from the robot

At 19:27 mins, the orange robot moves into the base with the green robot players and deploy a turret, but seems like on page 17 and 18 of the rule book it was stated that a robot player cannot move into the space with another robot and also not deploy another mine/turret if there is one there already.

Thank you for the video. I was looking for some solo plays of this game to see if I got the rules right but unfortunately you made a few mistakes in the very first few minutes so you playthrough doesn’t really help me in what I was looking for. I still watched a few turns to get the general flow of the rounds, thank you for sharing.

For the last combat, shouldn't you have had your basic weapon back, letting you attack one more time and making green retreat instead? Just the point change for changing who retreats would tie you at the end and the damage from the basic weapon should have won you the game.

Great stuff. Question...at 8:11 orange draws a double jump. In the rulebook it says to move it in any orthogonal direction if the human player is in the same row or column. Does it still only move left, right, or forward? Or does this allow it to move behind it as well? In your playthrough, is what’s stopping the move that you are only one space away?

I think the rules are different in the final product

When do robots change their facing?

Very interesting. Can I play a 3 player game vs one real player and one AI? It would really make my 2 player games more fun!
@MichaelCoe6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, just use the same AI rules just for a single robot.

Likely late Q3 or early 4 next year.

I feel like I missed something, the AI players shared a space on ones home base. Is the home base a safe space free from fighting? I thought that would trigger a fight, which they don't do, so it should've moved to a different space.
@MichaelCoe6 жыл бұрын
AI Robots don't fight each other. They also don't take damage from each other's mines or turrets.
@carmelorodriguez74306 жыл бұрын
I must have assumed they couldn't share a space because normally it would start a fight, thanks for the fast response. Can't wait for this game.
@Feldingor3 жыл бұрын
They can’t. If their move would make them enter the same space where the other robot player is, they behave like when they would move against a wall: they turn 180º and move in the opposite direction. Robot players can only share their space with turrets/mines of the other robot player (they don’t trigger them) Also at 5:00 or so, when moving the robot players sideways for the first time, they always change their facing when moving. So if a program card make them move sideways from their current position, they first turn to face that direction and then move.
@jackalope706 жыл бұрын
Do they have to start in those specific spaces? Can an AI start in the top middle and you take one of the side areas?
@MichaelCoe6 жыл бұрын
The design is for them to start in those spaces but you're welcome to try other arrangements.

I backed because I own every TE Game besides one. I think the solo mode looks boring and unimaginative. I’m not a fan of the Western solo either. Guess some of the TE Games lens better to solo mode. Defenders is by far the best IMO.
