Hi Rodney! Clarification for 19:14 Goblins only restore to its full health at the resolution phase/end of a round, not immediately as you mentioned. From the rulebook page 16: "Goblins restore to full health if not defeated in a single round." You may be asking, what's the point of leaving the damage inflicted until the end of the Night Phase? This is the reason, from the FAQ thread on BGG: Q: If a Hero has the Bow and an adjacent Goblin was abandoned during the Night Phase (other player Rested), could this Hero attack the Goblin? A: Yes, and do not reset the counter. Keep any damage inflicted from the previous Hero until the end of the Night Phase.

Clarification question: During the day phase, if I use the foot movement to move a meeple and complete a quest card and take it, and then on the next turn using a griffin movement card, manage to complete the requirements for another quest, would I get that quest as well, or is the 1 quest per turn referring to one day cycle as opposed to one of the 4 turns we do movement in during day?
@WatchItPlayed7 жыл бұрын
You would get both quests in that case. You can think of "a turn" as "each time a movement card is selected and used (or idled)"

27:05 at the resolution stage if the quest coin had been flipped so you just add a new card and not discard the further right card
@WatchItPlayed Жыл бұрын
You wouldn't remove or add a new card in that case.
@lucteeven55456 жыл бұрын
One pretty important mistake.. When determining if there is at least 1 treasure quest and 1 movement quest, you don't discard the card farthest on the right, but you discard the card you just had drawn! (Or else you could mess up somebody's set-up for completing a quest pretty badly! And that's not how the game is intended I guess, as it can take quite some planning to try to get a quest) Correct me if I'm wrong, but i think it is written like this in the rules...
@WatchItPlayed6 жыл бұрын
The rules aren't completely clear on wording, but an FAQ on BoardGameGeek confirms that you slide and replenish until you have at least 1 treasure quest and 1 movement quest as mentioned in the video. However, they also note a popular friendly variant that works exactly like you suggest!

From the 13:50 part, you mentioned that Damage taken or Power gained would be skipped over players who have already rested. This totally makes sense, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the rule book... Where is it?

It's on Page 16, under "Resting". The book says "You can no longer Adventure or take part in rolling." On Page 13 under "Taking Damage" it also referenced that damage is only done to "adventuring players".

I have a couple of questions: 1.If you rest and you learn a spell, (then increasing your max. power level) can I add one power point taking into account the new level of power. For instance: Having 3 of maximum power, and actually have 3 power points if I increase my magic level in 1 (having 4 of max. power level) when I return to the castle, can I add one power point from 3 to 4? Or Firstly do I add the power point and then increase my magic level that increases my max. power in 1? 2. Can I increase more than 3 magic levels? For instance: if I rest with magic level token in 2 and Im in two obelisks (level 2 and 4), can I I increase 2 (from 0 to 2) and then increase 2 more (from 2 to 4)? The last day we played we discuss about this. Thanks a lot and congrats for your channel!

When laying out a new quest, if a third movement or item quest comes up, I prefer to get rid of the quest card that I just turned over, rather than the one that has been out and could potentially have someone in the middle of trying to complete. Hi Rodney. I have a question. There is a mushroom grotto that lets you roll the dice and use any scroll and/or torch symbols to advance the corresponding meeples in temples. So if a have two meeples one space away from the last spot on two temples; lets say one in a torch temple and another in a scroll temple; and I roll 2 torches and 2 scrolls, I could advance both to complete the temples. In this case if they both complete a different adventure quest, does the "only one quest completion" rule during the day phase apply even if its two meeples completing different quests? The scenario is a little difficult to come up but is possible so I was wondering how the rule applies.
@WatchItPlayed7 жыл бұрын
Since it's the Day phase, my sense of it is that you would have to pick one to complete at that time. "You may only complete one Quest per turn. If moving a Hero would result in a player completing more than one Quest, that player can only chose 1 Quest Card to take."

When using the raft to move between cards, if you are on the right region of a card to start, can you use the raft to move to the left region of a card vertically above or below the current card? @WatchItPlayed7 жыл бұрын

@wizardryuk7 жыл бұрын
I think what's being asked is if the following is legal or not: If in the night phase you were to get your hero to the second last space of a temple. And also in that same night phase you managed to complete a temple that allowed you to move a legendary item up one place on your player board. And then in the following day phase you used another hero to enter the mushroom grotto space that allows you to move a hero one space forward in a temple thus completing another temple: and that other represents the temple to be done to allow stated legendary item to move to the end and be obtained. And the answer is it's legal.

@@WatchItPlayed I did a little digging, and using the dark side just means that goblins start out enraged, ie red side up. So it's harder to move around. In case anyone is wondering :)

Hey Rodney. What happens if myself and another player finish a temple at the same time but my opponent rests before I do? We both wanted to complete it for the quest points but to also advance our legendary items tokens. Since the other player rested before I did, he got the quest card. But what happens to my guy in relation to resolving the requirement to move my legendary token forward? Do I get to move it or no?
@WatchItPlayed6 жыл бұрын
Great question! The player who rests first will get to complete the quest this round. The other player will be forced to return to their castle at the end of the round (even though they made it to the last step of the temple). They would not get to move their legendary token forward as they were not the first to complete the temple.

So, just to clarify...I enter a temple to do an item quest. I get to the end of the track and rest. I get the item...but if that temple is also a stage of one of my legendary items, I get to advance that as well?

Thank You for video :) Its great as always :) I have two question. If a hero is not standing on last space in temple and You decide to rest, is that hero going back to castle like hero on the last space of temple (but without treasure)? And second one. If Your hero is on arena to fight goblin and You decide to rest (and goblin is not dead), do you must go back to castle with that hero?
@WatchItPlayed7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words Zen! 1) It will stay on the track (to further clarify, these are the only heroes you return to the castle when resting - everything else stays where it was: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJSrdqeOp81sbtUm28s) 2) Also answered in the above link. Hope that helps!

Hey Rodney...great as always. Quick question. Don't the rules tate that you cannot collect more than one quest on a turn? I seem to remember reading that in the rulebook, though I have not yet played my copy. Thanks for the clarification!
@shanelaporte7 жыл бұрын
I believe he stated that in the part about the day phase. However, in the night phase it could happen that you collect more than one while collecting temple rewards, for example (if I have that right).
@B_with_13_Es7 жыл бұрын
That is correct, you can only complete 1 Quest during a movement turn, even if moving 1 Hero can complete 2 or more Quests. For instance in my last game, I moved a Hero onto a Map Card that achieved a Movement Quest, BUT the Region I landed in was the Mushroom Grotto that said "Advance 1 Room in a Temple", which put 1 of my Heroes into the Treasure Room of a Treasure Quest. I could only do 1, so I chose the Treasure Quest over the Movement Quest.
@WatchItPlayed7 жыл бұрын
You are correct Shane. The restriction that we mention in the video applies to the Day Phase turns only. In the night phase you can collect multiple quests (as long as it's a different hero meeple gathering each one).
@davidgastelum60954 жыл бұрын
Watch It Played Can you claim a movement quest card during the night phase by having your guys in place before the night phase starts? (This is after already completing a quest during the day phase)

If you sit on The Grotto is it use multiple times such as every day phase?

A Hero who starts on a Region, must move off the Map Card and back onto it during a subsequent movement in order to take that Region's action again.

@@WatchItPlayed So blue hero 1 moves on to mushroom Grotto and moves blue Hero 3 upwards in the temple track, then blue hero 1 moves away with the second move. Can Blue Hero 2 come by and activated the same mushroom Grotto again, or can blue hero 1 move off and move back on to activate the same Grotto again? Sorry for the long-winded questions on the game master of the group.
@WatchItPlayed6 жыл бұрын
@@warrenvonwolfric4785 It can be activated more than once during the same Day Phase, each time you "move a hero onto it". The key is that you must have used movement to get onto that space (you can't have already been there, and just sat still). So in your example above, if Hero 2 'just' "moved onto the grotto" or Hero 1 is "moving onto the grotto", then you can activate that space again, even if it was activate previously that phase.

when I played this game with my friends, when you complete a temple for a legendary treasure, I put it on that dungeon on my player sheet until we are starting the next round then move it to the next symbol. This ensures we do not accidently move it through two dungeons.

Question: during the day phase I move a meeple to the grotto (move A) which lets me move another meeple up to 3 tiles (move B). If I can complete a movement quest on move A, can I 1) claim the quest and then execute move B, or 2) I must finish all movements before checking for quest completion? Implying that if I were to claim the quest on move A, I forfeit the grotto bonus action? Thanks!
