I remember feeling a sense of dread in the last few months before Jenna announced her hiatus. I had subconsciously noticed that she was displaying feelings of restlessness and discontent, and I knew that something was wrong. When she released her announcement video I didn’t watch it for a week because I didn’t want it to be true, but I understand and support her decision. I feel like the appeal of watching Jenna try something she isn't good at or something new was that we see a part of the process that not a lot of people show when learning a new skill. Before you are good at something you kind of suck at it. It never felt like I was laughing at Jenna for not being good at something, I was enjoying watching her learn and make mistakes and just the joy of trying something new without pressure to be perfect.
