@@sunlightdev Sorta-kinda. A big plus about Bevy is that you don't have to use the whole engine; you can use parts of it you feel are useful for the project you're building. TinyGlade leverages Bevy's ECS engine, and then the rest is homebrew from what I know (such as their rendering engine). Pretty cool stuff!

I am absolutely loving the demo already. One thing I wish it had is the option to place a window/door on a flat floor/roof and it becoming a trapdoor. It would be an awesome way to make these "empty" roofs accessible without another building on top.

(If you're looking for suggestions from players - which WHY would you we're idiots - I would love the option to drop in different ambient animals, like the sheep, birds maybe, rabbits maybe, maybe even people who can go in and out of the doors. However, I am not a Game Scientist, and you know the vibe you're going for.) Love you. Hope it changes the world and solves war. (Edit: OH. And chimneys. ilysm)

Little NPCs to inhabit the diorama would be amazing, ngl. Even if it's something that only exists in photo mode. E.g. scale NPC density up/down. If you have a line of laundry, you might get an NPC spawning there with a laundry basket, or shaking out a sheet; if you have a garden, maybe you get an NPC with a rake or garden hoe; if you have a tower with a flat surface and a parapet facing outwards, maybe you get a guy standing guard; etc.

You can already make a pretty dense tiny village in the available space, probably will be easy enough to make a sprawling little city in the full space
@meucelularkrl5 ай бұрын
I didn't see much reasoning behind limiting the building space in the full game aside from maybe optimization. If they want to nudge you into building more detailed things on smaller spaces, than unlimited space could be locked behind an option or something. I hope they don't completely exclude the possibility of an unlimited space or a very huge building space.

very well made and relaxing game props to the devs 💯👌 I would like to suggest a Copy/ Paste feature (really helpful ) -stairs on their own building section -Wooden houses variation - different lighting techniques like fire pots and torches 🔥 -Ability to insert the auto pop up decoration items independently. - empty hole windows like on castles. -jail strips windows and doors - more options for roads - insert rocks 🪨 to create caves or for decoration.

I found the demo for this game earlier today and I'm so excited for the full release. Usually, I think these games are cute but am not really that bothered, but something about this one is really just so lovely. Having the different camera modes so you can sort of explore the scenes too is such a nice addition. I know it's not really a simulation game, but it would be really nice if, someday, we could walk into the buildings and see an interior, or make a huge building and actually have people spawn in to go from place to place. Anyways, adorable game, thank you for sharing it with us :D

Was stunned by how intuitive the controls were. 5 minutes into the demo I immediately bought the game. The implementation is incredible, I've never seen anything else like it. Game engine creators, and maybe even architectural software designers could REALLY learn a lot from this game. It makes environmental art creation effortless, intuitive, and fun. The way the controls were implemented is genius. There are so many directions this game could go that would garner it mainstream success. Easiest would be to periodically release new assets/time periods outside of just the castle stuff. Would explode the audience, as this game is already very streamable.

I'm absolutely enthralled with this game! I already have 4 hours invested, and it's just the demo! I also love that you call it "a castle doodling game" - I can literally doodle with these tools and get a castle, or a wee village, or a country home with a couple of outbuildings, and it's just so **satisfying**. And all this on one tiny circle of space! I'm eagerly awaiting the day I can get the full game. All those different "biomes" to use, plus extra things like paint colours and fences and water and whatever that thing is that's hiding behind the lock that we can't see.... so excited. :D I've seen some a-maze-ing builds and building methods that the community has figured out already just with these basic demo tools. You really have a winner here. When you give players a game that is so intuitive, open-ended but with a certain vibe... dang, that's a winner. :)

I know this probably won't happen anytime soon, but it would be epic is you added in brushes, tools or models that add different decorations to the game, like making an area magical or spooky in theme. Like shops selling magical trinkets or dark alleys with creepy doors. Also don't know if you have it in game yet, but rain and sun/moon cycles would be amazing. Just some food for thought.

I feel the "stone" is more of a pattern or texture and should be separated from colors. So like when you select the Color icon it would give you 3 options: Texture, Pattern, Color. Choose a texture such as stone, wood, brick, etc. Choosing a pattern would alter the stone, wood, or brick layout, grain, etc.

I love this game so so much- I thought I'd get bored but there's something so fun about doing it.. plus the ASMR 🤤I'm sure it's been considered but maybe one day after the full release we can get an animal tool! Cats, dogs, farm animals, etc. where it depends on the amount of room you've given them to spawn in. For example if you drag the cow tool in a fenced off area it'll spawn a number of cows until the game decides there isn't enough room for them to move freely- so if its too small you cant spam like hundreds of cows, it'll only spawn one or two. Just a thought! I'd love to have a few kitties roaming around and such to give it a more lively feel.
