Okay, there's different amenities in both glampers. I love your tailgate, and full size bed. I'll take a wild guess the overall weight of your glamper is lighter. The other glamper is definitely better insulated, and can handle hot and cold temperatures better. It's got a fireplace which is awesome. I have to give to the other guy's for resilience to weather conditions, better building materials, and I think their lighting is better.

Not to mention storage, and this one could certainly use a painjob. Bonus points for the air fryer, TV and console (though points lost for no real fridge) but to be fair those things can all easily just be used in the other one with zero changes needed to it's design anyway.

Hmm. I can't actually say, so it would have to be a tie? This one ; PROS - Love the look and burned finish. Love the shape. Love the amenities for 'glamping'. Love the rear large awning. Love the slatted round sides. CONS - Back kitchen (could totally lazy suzan that whole kitchen shelf to be accessible from either side, run cords up/down center pivot). Over- foot shelf (could just add the extra foot to length so you don't kick it or feel trapped if you toss or bend your knees) Poor back hatch lighting (easy fix with usb rope lights) No windows No screens or vents for fresh air without bugs No drip/ rain guards for weather at doors Better latches (you already mentioned. Even old west wooden drop-bar latches from both sides, etc) (You already mentioned the poor trailer and height issues) Overall, great camper 8/10!

You have done what I have wanted to do: build an aerodynamic sleeper for one. Only my car is a Prius short version, which by the way is the same color as your car, and very close in size. It cannot tow more 5han 1200 lbs though, according to Toyota. Many do tow more. But your design work and detailing really rock! I would never be up for all that you did to make it skill wise, even if I had no time constraints like you did. Maybe I should hire you! For the rebuild, I suggest a light on the hatch. Also the light for the lower shelf (like you already suggested). Would it be worth it, to have a forward hatch as well? Or, do you think there would be too much risk of leaking. No solar panels to recharge the power-cell? Maybe a mini-oven. It looks like you might have room. You can add a flip out panel on the forward wall, to give you a seat back. I assume you plan to finish the wood. Oil? Paint? What about heat in colder weather I am seeing an 'apples and oranges' comparison here. MSR's is by far, more weather tight and comfortable. Definitely something I could do (maybe). He definitely seems to have a better trailer base, where you might have to find another better trailer. I do see a lot of potential for noise as things bounce around in his. Your trailer looks more aerodynamic and can probably handle higher speeds. However, at this point it has not been weatherized and you haven't accounted for a heat source in colder weather. As it stands, both need finishing touches. MSR's trailer seems to be four season, yours could be. You already spent the night in it, and is already stocked. His has a heat source, insulation, but is not fully wired or stocked. He may have taken precautions, but I still worry the potential for some of those roof slats blowing off. All things considered, I call it a draw. Looking forward to an update video.

You WIN!!! Special thanks to Kevin, if it was not for him I would not be here, just subscribed, great channel, cannot wait to see how you hot rod this clamper!!

Lots of mention for windows but I say add a skylight! You get light and can see the stars. For a table you could add a little slide out from under your tv stand that wouldn’t take much space.

Hands down @modernself is the winner. A lot more thought into the design and functionality of the glamper. @modernself even the materials used to build were very insulated and strong. A wood burning stove for the winter. Windows for ventilation. Dimmer lights inside of glamper. Cooking station on the outside. Refrigerator and power-packed on the inside of the glamper. Work station and table for eating your meals indoors. No issues of leakage with a roof that was built with the same materials as the walls.

That is one crazy expensive battery but you can get portable solar power for a looott less than that

@@AwareOCE portable solar would not run these power tools.

@@joshuapoche5137 Kinda makes the whole point of a battery backup. Obviously solar doesnt provide huge wattage all the time but several battery banks wired in series will do whatever you want it to do

No way, I live only 2,000 miles away on the other side of the Atlantic. Seriously though, Maine is a beautiful place. One of my 3 favourite spots in America.
