Our first home was also a starter home, we stayed there 24 years! 1,000 square feet, 2 bedrooms one bathroom for 4 people! We made it work! I miss that place now that the kids are grown. We live in 2,000 square feet and it’s too big now that everyone is gone😢

I really admire and respect young people these days who live within their means. That means not thinking you have to have everything right away, like a big house , two expensive vehicles, etc. Too many people compare themselves to others and put too much priority on material things. Cheers to tiny house! I have 1100 sq ft 2br/2 bath. Do have a basement but I could never go back to something bigger for living. A bigger garage- yes that would be nice
