Remove the closets. Extend the bench. Replace the desk with another long bench. Span windows across the back of a bench for light as well as in front of a bench for a larger view. Store a small wardrobe in pull-out baskets beneath a bench. Vertical storage is claustrophobic. Design and function are everything.

You could have a big deck surrounding two sides and an outdoor kitchen with a Pergola covered sitting area and a fire pit.. and an outdoor shower on the back... it would be awesome. You could have your own paradise for less than $10K plus the land probably. It's small enough you could probably get away with setting it up on bureau of land management land and moving it every 20 days.

As he said ideal for an extra space for visitors or for you to sleep when you have visitors. @@derekdiedricksen9170 Tiny houses help you stay spry!
@benbrown82584 жыл бұрын
@@derekdiedricksen9170 I took one of your classes when it was in Chicago. I ended up collaborating with habitat and the city to build the first legal tiny house here. That opened up the opportunity for many tiny houses to be built here since. I love mine but it was terrifyingly too big for me at 230 square feet. Honest. I had been living in apartments smaller than that for years. After three or four years I'm getting used to it size but I wish I could find the plans for the x s. I would definitely desire to build something like that if for no other reason than seasonal travel or to put it in a remote location for vacationing. If it had to be stationary my absolute two choices for construction would be either rammed Earth or Straw Bale. Deke, if you know how I could find the plans let me know.

A personal change for me would be to eliminate the shower room, install a shower pan that folds up against the wall when not in use and use a copper loop with an all round showier curtain. This would open up about 1/6 more space, especially visually. I only shower about once a month. No I am not a dirty person. I was in an auto accident years ago. Terrible injuries that kept me in a hospital bed for months. I was given sponge baths on a regular basis. I realized that keeping clean is a simple matter. I do not have a suitcase full of cleaning product, one bar of good soap, a nice sponge and a basin of warm water. People have been led to believe that they need a shower larger than this whole house, a different cleaning product for every part of their body, and 50 gallons of steamy water fed through multiple shower heads in order to be clean. OK, I will climb down from my soap box now🛁🌧😉😆😆

Nope that won't work........no person shall live in a space under 500 SQ FT.....putting a "guest bunkie" on the property also, still needs to have a occupancy permit signed off by the building inspector.....also homeowners insurance would never allow it. If someone was living in something like that and they got hurt, or a fire, would be in legal trouble with the town AND home owners insurance......not worth it!
