Those pesky ants. I had to deal with them this summer in my little shop. Didn’t know where they were coming from and kept seeing a few here and there so had to set off an insect bomb in the shop. Not the best thing but too many places to search. No more ants for now. It takes a lot of work to set up, video, and edit but I enjoy watching the mini cabin build and getting ideas. Keep up the good work. 😁

Cabin is coming along nicely Mike. One thing that I find works well to control the temperature in my camper is I installed a Fantastic ceiling vent that can exhaust out the roof. Once it cools off in the evening I open the window beside my bed and blow the warm air out the Fantastic, it’s almost like air conditioning. That little port hole would work well for the same purpose if you could find a way to vent the ceiling. I imagine the inside of that cabin smells amazing with the raw cut cedar.

Feel your pain man, carpenter ants are the biggest problem we have in my area. Walking from my cabin to the dog pen, I will cross 50 or 60 old nests that I have dumped poison on, then half a dozen new nests per day. If I walk into my forest every day you can find new hives / nests popping up. I go through a couple pounds of granular ant poison to try and control them and keep them out of my cabin. The sad thing is that I think the carpenter ants are a bigger problem than the Brown, and Black widows, as well as the Brown and Desert recluses that I have that swarm in my area. I'll get these super nests which have 1 or 2 black widows, then a dozen brown widows. But then those stupid ants will swarm and get into my pets food, or my trash, or just anything. They are the worst.
