You can trace a circle with something like a dry ballpoint pen, kinda like a scar (omg english is not my mohertongue so I can't really explain this... I hope you got it). this should stop the paint going outside your trace. You can do it with a smooth jar cap, maybe, so you would already have the circle and all you gotta do is press it into the sheet :)

@LoganHamel8 жыл бұрын
+Alyssa Arts you have to dilute the paint, usually by dipping the brush in paint and then in a bit of water, depending on how loose/opaque you want the paint to be

Same! But all im missing from my set are watercolor papers/pad and more colors😂. But ive been practicing how to make colors bleed together like this because im actually more into bleeding colors than actually just draw something and paint it like normal coloring and not bleeding it through. My plan when i started doing things like this was to just bleed em in any shape or stuff. And put quotes i love with colored pens❤. Hope you find something you like with paints☺

Very clever, and very pretty. Gonna give this a try (love letting the water bleed everything together). I especially like how your layering end up giving shadows to the clouds. Just for experiment's sake, it maybe fun to try adding pinches of salt sprinkled over the paint while its still quite wet, as it can leave a very cool dappled affect :)

Because of the way the paint flowed around or maybe they were liquid water colors not the pallet type any way, which ever it was very very wet and runny but did not leave the confines of the circle. Also characteristic of wet on wet.

I tried something similar to tgis but I found a strange problem. My watercolour I used, dark blue, looked fine wet; but when it dried it looked like acrylic paint used without water. It's quite strange and I've never experienced it before. It blends perfectly and the brand I have used is very good quality. Could the problem be in the paint tube itself? Could it be that, that particular blue colour is faulty?
@MikiL1626c068 жыл бұрын
A. Mulla What is the brand? If you can, look up things about that specific tube and see what others think. If not, ask the brand by emailing customer support and seeing if you need certain aspects like paper weight.
@elliecoolgirl13678 жыл бұрын
It could be the type of water you used, or the type of paper you used. Usually for me, if I don't use the right paper, this tends to happen.

Paint the pink part with much water. Then color the empty white parts with dark blue ( again using water after all if you want to use the aquarelle properly you should use water ). Without cleaning your brush from the dark blue mix it with the pink ( not in the paper ). You got purple. ( be sure that the painting is still wet). Put a little purple between the pink and the blue to blend it. Clean your brush and use darker blue. Color little parts with the darker blue. The painting should be still wet. Add a little light blue ( with much water ) whereever you want and then clean your brush. Add water to make some of the places lighter. Leave the painting for a while. Come back to finish it after its not wet. Use only white aquarelle in other places to make these white thigs like clouds. Add darker pink in the pink part. Clean your brush and use only water on the dark blue part to make some of the places lighter. Leave it again. After ist not wet take some white acrilyc paing on your brush and make the stars. You can use toothbrush ;) Thats all i can help with. Sorry for my english >.

+serena moon +tillith I would really appreciate an answer to this, I have tried three different huge pages over 20 tries of trying to do a galaxy background. I am finding this so beyond difficult. I am so new to water colours. Some say to wet the paper first and some say to not, I don't know how much water to use either when mixed with the water colour disks. I don't know if it's too pigmented or too wet, I have watched so many videos and my finished dried paint looks chalky and just awful. Not at all like anyone elses. I don't know what to do. I use this really cheapy artist lofts palette, is that why or am I just a total fail?
