Cool, I’ve been doing that for a while with the pocket 2 but I’m looking forward to the better tracking of the 3. With the 3m pole you can get some very drone like shots, I’ve been using the small rig phone clamp 😀. Its a hellishly reasonably priced crane 😀👍

Thank you for the great review. I have an important question. If I purchase the DJI Pocket 3 Creator Combo, how can I buy an additional DJI Mic 2 separately? I already own the DJI Pocket 2 Creator Combo, which comes with a microphone that requires a receiver to connect to the camera. Can I use it? If the answer is no, please let me know how I can obtain an additional DJI Mic 2.

DJI hasn't given any information on when or how we can purchase a second Mic 2 transmitter. It isn't available yet. This is per a response from DJI in the DJI subreddit. The transmitter for the 2 won't work. Right now the only option might be to buy a second Pocket 3 Creator Combo and take the mic from that. That might be overdoing it though.

Im trying to build a rig just like you used. It doesn't have to be as long, but phone mount is essential. DJI had one, an accessory for Pocket/Pocket 2, but its not 1/4 20, its a interface, with pinouts for the early pocket models. I have some pieces coming but a fully built one would be a hit, perhaps with a power bank. Smatree makes one, again more for P1/P2.

Great video! Inspiring. One clean way to mount the iPhone to a selfie stick is with a Peak Design Handlebar Mount (attaches to any tube) and their iPhone case. Super solid. I have it paired with the Insta365 extended selfie stick carbon fiber (10 feet).

Just purchased the LUT pack for use with Lumafusion on ipad. Getting an error says lut is too larger, Lumafusion can only import sizes 2- 64. Seems your luts are 65. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks.

I have original Osmo and 1 meter extension stick. Which is installed intersect between body and camera. So I can hold controller with my hand while on camera on stick. I wish Pocket 3 have seperatable camera like Osmo. But anyway I want one and probably buy one.

Can I Use the Mic 2 as Standalone recorder?

Yes. I just tested this out. Turned the mic 2 on without the camera and pressed the record button on the Mic 2. I then turned it off and connected it to my laptop with the USB C. Laptop recognized it as a drive and the audio file was there.

I heard that of you turn the camera horizontal from vertical 16:9 you can shoot 4k 9 by16. Don’t know if it’s true because this is another product I’ll never be able to afford. Great video. 4:46

Yes, you can turn the camera sideways and it will film 4K 9x16, however, you need to turn it in post when you are editing your video. The Pocket 2 worked the same way.

You can see it's rigged with tape and wood. Use a bicycle camera mount on the pole near the handle to mount your phone.
