I use the Eachine LCD5800D monitor with built-in recording functionality. It's not perfect, but gets the job done!

I also haven't gotten into the tiny whoops or indoor fpv phenomenon, very excited & eager to know what are the best ready made options out there & how do they compare to the custom whoop.

My first indoor FPV flyer was the Nano qx. then the RS90 quadcopter. nano qx2 fpv and now I am looking forward or the inductrix FPV (will be here on Monday) "Best" depends on your skill. The rs90 is brushless and incredibly nimble, but considerably more difficult to fly than the brushless ones from Horizon. If you are new to this, I would go with the nano qx2 or the new inductrix. If you feel comfortable around brushless quads and tweakings, go with the rs90.

Just a heads up, the tiny blade battery connector wears out. My tiny whoop was getting 1:20 flights and it was driving me nuts, everyone else is saying 3 to 4 minutes. Replacing the battery connector saved it from getting used as a flying target.

Good information! I believe there's a similar, general issue with the batteries included with the new Inductrix FPV.

yup, its the micro connectors they use. there is a video up on youtube with a guy re soldering his battery connectors.

Yep, not a suitable connector for even a stock Indy. Go to the 2mm connectors or MicroLOSI. Upgrade a stock or 200mah 'extended' battery and wow what a difference in power and flight time.

You need an Indy, an Indy Pro frame (stronger, lighter), some 17000kv red motors ("fast" from MMW, and don't consume all that much more power but give lots of punch carrying a TX01), a TX01 AIO camera (with a piece of double-sided foam sticky; mounts are too heavy!), and the most important part, batteries that have the right connector on them. Blade used a connector type that heats up and becomes resistive very fast. MicroLOSI is a good universal choice, but lots of people use the 2mm version of the stock connector.

Durability of the Whoop is just fine. In nearly a year I've only ever broken a single motor spar and I've beat the hell out of mine, especially trying to learn rates on it and do flips. The Inductrix Pro frame is a marked upgrade to the durability (and lighter) and should make it almost impossible to break motor spars. Also, don't hard-solder the camera to the board, give it a tiny connector (that usually comes on cameras) and in the event of a bad crash, your camera will separate at the connector instead of ripping pads off or breaking things. Used this feature a lot this past weekend flying in a hotel under renovation. My sticky foam kept not sticking very well!

If your looking for a tiny whoop, but don’t want to pay £50+ then get the eachine e010. It’s like £15 & flys even better than the blade inductrix

The reason Tiny whoops are so fantastic is because you can fly them anywhere. Until you own a racing drone you don't know how freakin loud they are. Forget about how small Tiny Whoops are I like them because I can fly them outdoors without intimidating or bothering anyone and I can fly them indoors without intimidating anyone.

Nice video. The mailman literally just delivered the Eachine knockoff while watching this. I'll be moving my micro vtx/cam from my Syma X11 to this fake Inductrix shortly. It doesn't have standard losi battery connectors and it probably won't have the 5 min flight time of my Syma, but it certainly looks cool.

very well-made, video. I was looking for somthing like this. to point people towards when at work asking what a tiny whoop is. That being said went from Tiny whoop. to a home build, 90mm Whoop styled Brushless Quadcopter. wich have much more Power longer flight times and of cause flys faster. it's built with the Eachine Aurora frame F4 flight controller. and a PDB ESC combo. And in terms of flight characteristics, it's much more like my bigger Race Quads. if anyone Should be interested in a build log I have on as well.

Thanks for sharing, build sounds awesome! I think it's safe to say the Tiny Whoop has been surpassed by the competition at this point, but remains an excellent entry point to FPV in my opinion.

+Shad8x Yes! I happened to have some of the parts already (Inductrix, FPV goggles, TX). Not as sure I would've gone for it otherwise.

this is great but supposedly the this tiny whoop only last 30 to 90 seconds flight time is this true
@RCview
@RCview 7 жыл бұрын
+JC Lopez It depends on the capacity of the battery used, but if you get 30 seconds there is something wrong with the setup. 2½-3 minutes I'd say is a normal flight time.
@easley421
@easley421 7 жыл бұрын
JC Lopez I had thirty second flight times when just adding a camera to the e010 from eachine. You have to upgrade those motors. My tiny whoop is now the H8 mini. Literally can put the heaviest camera (6grams) on it and it will still fly.
@gymkhanadog
@gymkhanadog 7 жыл бұрын
Nope! Only true if you don't change out the battery connectors and aren't using decent batteries. They're the biggest detriment to flight time. I have the timer on my TX set for 3:30 and I rarely fall short. You need the larger 2mm connectors or MicroLOSI (what I run) to provide enough power to the motors, not waste it as heat in the connector. Even with 17000kv 'red' edition "faster" motors from MMW, which really give it back the original punch (feels like you aren't carrying a camera!), don't affect flight time but by a few seconds if you're hauling ass. They make 'riding the breeze' so fun!

Very well explained for an attempt. You do great things on KZbin, keep it up!! Official? tiny whoop almost $200. Nock off tiny whoop just over $100....Copter- Eachine E010 (inductrix clone)$16 ; Camera- FX797T $40 ; Goggles- Vr007 $50.. total $106 W/O any upgrades. Still a big price to pay for a small amount of GREAT fun. The best part is, the camera and goggles can be used on other copters just the same for even more fun. Thanks again RCview for your entertaining information. I always love to watch your channel.
