I like it, because it us self contained, the views start at a good height off the ground, well built, the slide out is an interesting feature, adding extra room to the interior. I like the large bed on the ceiling. Great story and follow thru.

Many moons ago when I was in the Army I actually worked out of one of these on a deployment. It was a rare opportunity since I usually worked in an armor brigade and we didn't have any of these M1087s. Our commanders operated out of M577 command tracks. Put 4 M577s back to back, cover with a specially-designed tent-tarp and camo netting and bam - instant TOC. The blackout function was so that you could have white light inside with covers on all the windows and whenever anyone opened the door it would automatically switch over to non-white-light to preserve night vision for any soldiers on guard in the area as well as not light up the area for any enemies that may be scanning the horizon with night vision or flying overhead. You know, the whole noise/light discipline thing they beat into you in boot camp. These folks did an amazing job on converting this beast.

Have you ever thought of putting out some 'legs' for the unfolding expansions of the middle section? Would make the whole back a lot more stable. It could also be comprised of variable-length shafts, so you can adapt it to whichever surface you're standing on. Other than that, damn, what a retirement dream.

I love this thing. I'm a retired Air Force Master Sergeant aircrew member on EC-130E's . of my Air Force career I spent 4 years In a Tactical Unit driving around in vehicles like this . Wonderfully sturdy..."git out of my way" home on wheels! Nobody'll mess with that venicle without getting hurt in the process. Very nice couple with lots of courage and adventure in their hearts. Go, kids....bantha gets 'er done!!!!.... lol!!!! I loved the sort of high tech, no nonsense approach to wandering. I used to work in these when I was in the Army! I got a lot of mixed reactions the many times I reminisced about my desire to convert it into an RV. I'm happy to see someone else had the same idea. Full disclaimer: I didn't really work on these much because they don't ever break down. The biggest thing that comes to mind is the filters for the CTIS.

Wow! My dream truck! And a good looking couple! I've spent many days on a Command truck as we called it in the Army. I think the expandable sides are great and the size overall is pretty generous. We used to park 4 of these trucks back to back in a cross shaped configuration, so the commanders and staffers would go from truck to truck to see how the battle was developing. You guys have made this combat command truck into a Range Rover/Land Yacht. Congratulations! You know how to travel comfortably and in style!

I grew up sort of like this, on the road in a home in progress. I loved it though, compared to all the crazy motel rooms we stayed in before. Parking was the tricky and difficult part depending on what state and or town we were passing through. We were right in the middle of too short or too long. Had to get creative and make friends quickly. I like your alert setup for when someone starts moving something outside. I remember us turning off all the lights as well when something was up. I love the utility of everything! To this day, I'm most in my element, on the road.
