Oh I know them (the O'Terrys) from FB! Awesome to see you catch up with them. My father's family is from Detroit, so I spent tons of time there as a child. My grandfather and many of my uncles and cousins are still there. It's an incredible city. Whenever my dad visits, he brings me back coneys and rock and rye faygo which neither I can get in Tennessee! I pray it is able to be restored to the glory it once held!

I am a Detroit native. Blessings to you and your friends because I know just how dangerous Detroit is. Since the riots in 1967 and the.recession in the 1970s, the city fell apart, decades before the housing collapse. Corruption, liberal policy and neglect allowed it to deteiorate, except for.certain small enclaves like Eastern Market, Greektown, and the stadium areas. So much so, it was unsafe to stop at traffic lights in residential areas between the enclaves for many years. I will pray for your good works in my hometown.

Yes, Detroit has been hurting for many years. Since the 60's. A small "comeback" is taking place with what we call urban pioneers, but it's been slow & painful. I've been living in the suburbs of Detroit all my life. It needs much prayer & attention.

I did my community nursing semester in Detroit when in college in Rochester Michigan. Detroit was pretty bad and unsafe back then in 1981. It just didn’t happen with the housing bubble 10 years or so ago. Found lots of people then helping the poor.

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son that whomsoever believes on Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus is the Son of God who came to save His people from their sins and the wrath of God to come. Jesus was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, willingly went to the cross and died in place of His people, was buried in a tomb, rose from the dead 3 on the third day, was seen by many over 40 days, ascended into heaven in the presence of many witnesses and is interceding for the saints; Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead very soon. Jesus has paid the sin-debt owed by His people and redeemed them back to God. Jesus is God, the Son of God, and He loves us. Jesus fulfilled over 300+ prophecies. Come to Jesus and be saved; believe, repent and endure to the end. "I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”Jesus Christ Luke 5:32 peacewithGod . net pazconDios . net

I am finding more women dressing Modest these days. It is beautiful to see. I'm guessing they are Torah Observant (not Jewish) or either Mennonite. I'm leaning mennonite since they worship on Sunday instead of the 7th day as Torah observers do. Mennonites are not right out there about what they believe. They believe their lives should speak their testimony....walking the walk so to speak instead of mere words. I have several Mennonite friends and have done business in some communities. They are very kind with much honor and integrity. Brakin and Lyndsey uplift and strengthens my faith in the Father in many ways.

@KingsDaughter19886 жыл бұрын
@@danarzechula3769 that is incomplete. God looks at our appearance as well, not only at the heart. Read 1 Peter and Timothy. Plus, Jesus said: if you love Me, you will obey My commands. So, thank God there are still men and women that fear God in EVERY THING. God bless you!

Our relationship to Jesus, will affect every area of our lives. But when we turn our attention to what we wear, eat etc. we will eventually lose Christ. I've seen wanton women in plain circles. A friend of my wife is Mennonite and say's that affairs are common in Mennonite Churches. Why is pedophilia and bestiality rampant in plain circles? I know plenty of former Amish and other plain people who testify that those things go on in their churches. They look good outwardly but they lost Christ in many of those churches long ago. Then when someone by God's grace comes to Christ, they are excommunicated. I agree that these ladies are lovely and modest, but part of the reason is that they don't make it about them or their clothes, to them it's about Jesus. If there was a girl doing the same thing in blue jeans and a t-shirt , she'd be just as holy. 1 Peter doesn't give us clothes patterns but tells women to pay attention to the inner woman more than the outside. Paul gives women instruction to cover in the assembly when praying or prophesying; and there isn't a consensus on exactly what the covering should be, churches have split over that, sadly. I exhort you to work on the inner person first. Remember what Jesus said about cleaning the outside of the cup only. I don't mean this as a rebuke. God bless you.

Why would God ask me to do something when he knows that I don't have the money or income to do what he is asking me. He keeps telling me to go back to my small home town and to buy the house that I grew up in and use the pole barn to start center to help people out in the community with clothing and so forth. Grow a garden for food and use my quilt making talents to bring in income and donate to the community. God knows that I live on a fixed income. I just don't understand it. I would have to have money to buy the property and for house expenses.
