The word is that the burning is supposed to change the softwood, like pine, into a hardwood essentially. That the theory anyway. And even with the expensive"charoil", they claim that that also needs to be reapplied every two years also just like the boiled linseed. Looks great!

Our stabilizers are in great shape so we just use those and wheel chocks! When we were renovating we did use a a few pairs of jack stands. Just need to be careful where you place a jack if you use one. :)
