I haven't bought a new rod in a while, and I am very excited to get a TinyTalon. I love the TalonMini and keep it in my bag all the time, but Georgia requires a smaller rod on many of these blue lines.

How does this compare to the foxfire?

It is stiffer than the FoxFIRE rod but I personally like casting this over the 8ft length of the FoxFIRE rod. It will definitely give you more fish fighting control and better hook set over the FoxFIRE rod. The FoxFIRE rod will be more durable being mostly fiberglass and less sections. If you only needed the 8ft length I really prefer this new TinyTALON 245 over the FoxFIRE 8ft length personally, so if you didn't need the other 2 zoom lengths of the FoxFIRE rod I would go with the TinyTALON 245.
